Clone only is a stupid term....There are plenty of phenos and even better ones if pheno hunted. People are still this in the past about clone only..Its likely a s1 of the origional clone only

Sorry dude you're wrong. Wedding Cake is a specific pheno of the Animal Mints strain. There aren't other phenos of the real deal. Same is true of strains like Blue Dream and Green Crack. If these seeds are S1s then the "breeder" (pollen chucker) should say so and also give credit to the original breeder.

I've heard it said that Birthday Cake and Wedding Cake are the same cut but no idea if that's true. Seems there may be a couple versions.

So all the current wedding cake circulating are all mislabeled? Or? Seems odd an entire community would be flippantly avoiding such a vital nomenclature as 'clone only'. I just bought Wedding Cake from two breeders. Prism seeds out of canada (13 reg seeds) and 1 fem elite from canuk seeds. I saw you post earlier on another thread it was clone only and that got me searching for more info. Im finding alot of 'clone only' so im concerned now. How could they get Y chromosomes to make reg seeds without lying about parentage?

It's the classic case of "breeders" jumping on a specific clone that's passed amongst growers, then making seeds designed to emulate the cut. I can't speak for any specific breeder, but I would guess they simply did their best to replicate the original genetics. The same thing has happened with many other clone-only strains including GG#4, Blue Dream, Green Crack, etc. Some breeders don't even attempt to replicate the genetics, they just slap a name on completely different genetics, like Female Seeds did with their "Cherry Pie" seeds, which have none of the genetics of the real CP cut. I literally just messaged Jbeezy on Instagram requesting some clarification...who knows if I'll get a reply...maybe he released that pheno as a stabilized line? I would think he has the clout to put a stop to his Intellectual Property being ganked like that

There is no trademark of the name, and the original seed line was called Triangle Mints anyway. Wedding cake was a specific pheno of that seed line. If you can't get the cut, the next best thing is a seed pack of Triangle Mintz from Seedjunkies. You don't have to believe me, but I've been following this for a while, and grown the real cut multiple times.
