so my wife cleaned out the bathroom closet, and being the thrifty(hoarder:-))person she is,she had alot of old medicine/prescriptions that were never gonna be used or had expired..i gave my pops all the tramadol for his hip pain(she had squirreled away 90!) and threw all but one bottle away..the bottle was for my daughters cough/cold last winter..it is Ceron-dm(dextromethorphan or dxm)..it has about 85more doses left,if used at the prescribed amount of 3ml..there is no other info on the bottle that tells the amount of dxm in each dose.is this worth keeping for a trip,or is it a shiney sparkley expensive bottle of name brand robitussin?..any help would be appreciated as im thinking of giving this to a friend, but dont wanna dissapoint him with a weak suprise, plus tell him what to expect...thanks!

I don't know the exact stability but the morphinan ring should last for a long time. It's structurally very similar to morphine and that stuff will retain potency for decades so long as it doesn't get too hot.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate - I think this is the stuff that in high doses is bad for your heart and will make you vomit ???

Phenelephedra - High doses of this stuff can be bad to

I've read that Chlorpheniramine Maleate comes out in your end product and in high doses can put you in the hospital.

Unless it's pure DXM I would not chance it when I was 16 I ate an entire box of coricidin cough and cold and it was horrible night after I downed the box I realized I had to go meet a friend for sushi I sat down in the booth suddenly it kicked in and I started to feel sick by this point I had already downed like 6 pieces of sushi I got up to go to the restroom and realized I had lost all motor control I stumbled and fell on the ground the waiter helped me up and directed me to the restroom weirdest part was none of the other people eating at the restraunt looked up or even seemed to notice but that's Cali for you!! as soon as I walked in before I could even make it to the toilet I vomited chunks of raw fish all over the restroom floor after that I stumbled out of the bathroom and saw that the waiter was calling the police so me and my buds left the rest of the night was pretty fucked up as well at that point it was just me and my others friend who had also eaten a box of coricidin we parked are car in a apartment complex and forgot where it was and spent most of the night walking around in circles trying to find it. It was the strange high like your dreaming but your awake.

High doses of cordicidin is contributed to most of the hospital visits and deaths. Robo is easy as pie to extract and mildly cheap. There's something different about the doses between the two brands I can't remember the literature atm

Agreed fuck coricidin biggest problem I have with the Robo is that it contains guaifenesin which can give some very unsavory side effects like vomiting and diarrhea I have heard they make cough syrups that have just DXM in them but I have been unable to find them.

It is very hard to find straight dxm containing bottles. I've had no such luck. I've never had issues with guaifenesin but that definitely doesn't mean it won't happen. If extracted right it can be avoided. A lot of the other ingredients come out in your final product.
