FoxFarm 1/2 Cup Bloom Too Much??

Like it said on the direction on FoxFarm Organic Bloom, too use 1/2 cup for the first watering, then 4tblspn thereafter but isn't 1/2 cup a tad too much? Even at early flowering? Anybody ever used FoxFarm nutrients that can help me? I'm trying out the FoxFarm products to see how they work. I'm working on many different nutrients to find what's best for me.

I always use less than what they call for...less is more...I use fox farm nutes and this is especially true of them imo. Invest in an EC meter and you can monitor it better.

if you are talking about the big bloom (not to be confused with tiger bloom) it is very hard to burn your plants with. according to the directions on the bottle the 1/2 cup dose is for "heavy feeding" and is to be repeated every 1-2 weeks. when i used ff i alternated feedings with the grow big/tiger bloom and big bloom. example day 1 water with big bloom (2-4 tablespoons depending on growth stage), when it dries out, feed with tiger bloom, when that dries, water with big bloom, etc. big bloom is also fine to use throughout the whole grow. it is not intended as a stand alone nute for bloom, though. you will need to also use the tiger bloom or a comparable product for best results.

Yes I was talking about the Organic Big Bloom, sorry for being uncleared. +rep for the info, now I'm not too worry about watering my plant since I gave them 1/2 cup Big Bloom and 3tblspn Tiger Bloom for the first time last night. Let see how they turn out!

Dude half cup is way to much, I think you meen half of a tablespoon or half if the regular dose
Go to your local hydro store, grab the FoxFarm Big Bloom and read the back "We recommend a first feeding using 1/2 cup per gallon of water and follow with 4 tbsp per gallon ever watering" and I though it was way too much... Look like so did you lol

Hmm, I've always used Advanced Nutrients products, and I've always used less than the bottles says to. Saves me money and it doesn't hurt the plants.

That does sound like you're feeding a bit too much, so I'd def bring things down a bit or else you're going to burn things out.

If you're still looking at nutes, Advanced Nutrients has a great lineup. They have bundles that make it easy to pick up everything you need at once. I use the Expert Grower level right now:

Sensi Bloom A and B
Voodoo Juice
Big Bud
B-52
Overdrive
Bud Candy
Final Phase
Piranha

And eventually I'm going back to the Professional level...

Good luck!

i went to fox farm feeding schedules and it said to (tsp/gal 2 times a week)
I know but thats the feeding "schedule" we should follow but this is "recommended". I've done it anyway, 1/2 cup Big Bloom along with 2 tbsp Tiger Bloom. Been 2-4 days, i forgot, I'm baked today. Happy 420! anyway, it seem healthy still, no nute burn or anything like that. In fact, its frigging growing fast. Already grew more 3-4in in 2 days

again people, big bloom will NOT burn plants even at 1/2 cup. it's like some of these people didn't read the thread or ever use bb at all. it is not a stand alone fert. it barely has an npk. other lines of nutes and their dosages have nothing to do with anything. ff tells you to use a 1/2 cup for "heavy" feeding because plants can absolutely handle it. enough already. tiger bloom is a whole other story...

Also consider the strain you are growing as some strains can take recommended heavy feedings and some will not. Some strains may even take more than the recommended heavy feeding. I use the FF Big Bloom but because I water/feed my girls every other night I use slightly less than the recommended daily feeding of 5ml or 10ml per gallon (depending on other additives I will mix in).

Sounds like your girls are still in the 'stretch'. What week of flower are you in now?
