I just started looking into the BB product myself and from what I have read (both here and at FF's site) it seems like this intended to be a flowering nute.

Funny thing about the FF sched. Read the bottle vs the poster. The bottle is twice the poster. And people say to use 1/2 the does. Which?

The sched is from seedling. But I would hold off all nutes until 4 weeks, or showing signs of a def. (or x-plant time)

I like the FF stuff, but moving away from them. (*zero* prob/hostility, just not a fit for *me*)

so your saying wait till week 4 to start the gb? and half the dosage so 1 Tablespoon per gallon? Is this personal or a fact!

They recomend the BigBloom because of the phosphorous. It promotes root growth! I start at week 2 with rhiizatonic and supernatural boost which is all phosphprous, then @ 4 weeks growbig @ 1\2tsp per gal then 1tsp per gal at 6 weeks plus botanicare sweet and magical to help prevent difiecencys. This is all time from germination. I use opensesame, beastie and chaching in flower because they are PH buffered and supernatural for the same reason. I dont use the tiger or big bloom. Good luck!

I used the FF soil and nutes per scaled down sched and burnt a plant or two. (still no bad feeling with FF, they are good stuff)

1/2 tablespoon would work. I do see why you are questioning a bloom nute during veggin. Roll with it. Watch closely and use every other watering. I started using FF once in bloom. Prior to that nothing (but I was on MG soil until the x-plant to FF soil for flowering)

If you have a ppm meter, got for about 1100-1400.

Now should i really get one, i just picked up a ph meter.
And if i do how do u use it
B4 the soil or in the soil?
The pH meter should be for the water (please say you didn't get that $10 analog meter on a stick from a home store)

The ppm/EC/CF meter will also be for water.

You should check the run off water too from time to time. FF soil is pretty good on the pH.

I use fox farm products whole line actually myself. From experience soil wise i wait till the first set of leaves start then I add 2 tsp of big bloom(i figure a tbl is 3 tsp) so 1/4 strength. feed every other water then follow schedule from there but once I get to the point where have to use grow big and big bloom together I only use 1/2 strength on bot and see how the plant reacts. If it takes well and all you can increase if you want but I have never really went above 50% when I did got some burn some minor salt issues Clones if you dont use a gel or powder wait till get little nubs then add sorry so long im stoned lol

So how was you sched...just a lil run down would help..
let me take new pics to help
So i should add bb at week 2 or at first true leaves?
then how long should i wait to add gb and bb?
Then when do i transplant from the seedling pot" 4" " to the 3-4 gallon at what week ruffly?

Hey Budski, i have that thing too. It's kind of a piece of shit. But it's good for checking the moisture in the soil. You should look at one of the Hanna PH meters. I got this one. I hated it at first because I'm just learning. But give it a chance and you will be happier with Its results than the one you currently have. Make sure whichever meter you buy has the calibration solution though!

Do u add your nutes to your water and then test or before nutes just water? or is that what the ppm meter is for the nutes?

basically when the first true leaves show ehats week one 1/4 strength feed every other water starting the week out with a dose of nutes start second week on schedule with 3/4tsp gb 2.5tsp bb just follow the schedule but I would not recommend going above 50% unless plant looks like needs it or is a strain that eats nutes just listen to your plant and you will do fine

I add nutes test then use ph down or up whatever is needed ppm is more technical and you can be more precise but i only ph never had a problem

The Big Bloom is not their flowering nute, it is the Tiger Bloom. The Big Bloom is a catalyst that allows the nutes to be absorbed better. It is good for all stages of growth, and the NPK is so low it will not burn. I use the BB at about 20ml in the first 2 weeks, then after about 2-3 weeks, I bump it up and start to use the grow big.

As for the feeding schedule and the bottle being different, they are the same. It says on the back of the bottle for aggressive feeding to give 15ml of Grow Big, and on the feeding chart it says the same thing.

I would suggest getting rid of the Cha Ching, many people have had problems with this, including myself. I have since switched to Hydroplex from Botanicare and it seems to work great.

When you use the solubles, you pH will drop a ton! Mine gets down to like 5.3 which is way too low for soil. You will need a pH meter and a ppm meter, and not those crappy battery free ones. The pH is all over the place with Fox Farms nutes, so the pH meter is required. The veg nutes are fine without pH'ing, but the flower is way too low.

So how do i adjust the ph after the nutes are in the water? With a 7.0 solution?
is this a good one like guy said above? and that solutionit comes with, is what i am talking about in the sentence above.http://cgi.ebay.com/Hanna-pH-TESTER-METER-Aquarium-Hydroponics-Lab_W0QQitemZ120328385055QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item120328385055&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1205|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1308
or is this one better? http://cgi.ebay.com/Digital-PH-Meter-Water-Quality-Tester-HANNA-98107_W0QQitemZ290272236038QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item290272236038&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72:1205|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

7.0 solution is to calibrate your ph meter you have to use ph up or down you can get it at hydro store Like I said before I use their whole line add nutes to water sit 10 min test ph adjust as needed with up or down test ph once you get your ph right let it sit another 10 min check again it is a safe way you really dont have to be that intense on it but its more precaution
