just last night i threw my 2 females into the flowering room to start producing some frosty nugs. but, that now takes me to where i am at now. i'm in some need for some flowering/bloom nutes.

i have a hydro shop near me and i'm trying to decide between fox farms tiger bloom/big bloom. also in the mix is earth juice bloom, and also floranova bloom (tad more expensive).

i'm only looking for flowering nutes right now, so i'm more interested in something i can use straight through without adding something else to it. which is the fox farms is better off to use from beginning to finish? the tiger bloom or the big bloom.

thanks for the help.

FWIW, the FF feeding schedule says to use both. Check out their web site. I've just started my first grow using FF, so I can't offer any firsthand experience.

yeah i would've guessed they suggest to use both....they just wanna make another sale. i read about tiger bloom that it says you can use it from the first sight of flowers the whole way through til harvest. i dunno...hope that can help you out too since you said you've never used them.

i guess i'll just ask the hydro shop employee.

the name big bloom is deceiving because it really isnt a bloom product its a micro nutrient that feeds the micro nutrients in your tree to make it grow...it should be used the whole way through so if you would have done fox farm grow big you woulda mixed big bloom w/ it....tiger bloom is the real bloom product but still should be used with the big bloom....

all i use is fox farm oh and i use liquid karma from botainicare....the big bloom combo isnt the sales guy trying to make you pay more money..

Yeah, that about sums it up. It's the soluble additives that you can skip if you like. The primary three nutes are all expected to be used, each is formulated with the expectation of the use of the other two.

Along with FF I use:

-kelp extract
-humic conditioner (uptake catalyst)
-hydroguard (protects against root rot)
-a tiny bit of superthrive

So far it's going pretty well. At the moment, the plants are looking a little deficient, as I've been feeding at around 30% the concentration on the FF charts to make sure I don't overdo it at first. I've got a feeling when I bump it up to ~800 ppm at the end of the week they'll take off.
