Fox Farms Flushing Schedule

So I am 4 weeks into flowering and using the whole foxfarms lineup except the ones in Orange. Does anyone using the FF follow the flushing schedule like between week 7 and 8 or week 10 and 11?

I was taught to flush every 2 weeks after starting nutes and 2 weeks before harvest and so far so good and I'm using the FF trio.

Ok, Do you flush during the watering, where u only feed them plain water? And how do ur plants react? Im prolly about 4-5 weeks from the final flush.

Sorry not understanding your ?. If your feeding your plant nutrients it is good to flush your plants every two weeks to rid the soil of built up salts and any unused stuff. I flush by watering my pot with triple the amount of it can hold and let it run out the bottom. Then let it drain until it stops and mark in the journal as H2O. Depending on size of pot it will take a little extra time to dry out. Then commence with the schedule. Repeat in 2 weeks. As for harvest I guesstimate within two weeks of my desired ripeness and do a final flush of the soil (personally I put as much water through as I have on hand to get rid of any trace of shitty tasting fish guts and bat shit) and only give it pure H20 until harvest. I hope I answered your ?

I understand, but I heard most people don't flush if it is absolutely necessary since it will shock the plants and take em a few days to recover?

It depends on whether you're hydro or dirt. with dirt follow the ff instructions. The soil will retain much fertilizer that the rock and coco etc won't. No one on RIU understands me but for taste I do an after chop roots off flush in RO water. There are many types of flushes and people get them confused. By cutting out on the ferts a week before harvest will help very little for taste and in hydro will not do your plant(s) any favours.

You don't need to flush at all actually. It's totally up to you. Flushing will flush out the soil but it will not get out the Nutes you have been feeding your plants for however long they have been growing. To each their own.

Depending on how long your flowering time is, when your 2 weeks before harvest you can flush with only water. Most people don't use and nutes the last two weeks. That feeding schedule looks quite complicated. I use foxfarm nutes and I looked at that schedule and said fuck that. Theres way too much shit on there. You don't need half of that stuff IMHO. I gave them just the trio and I used a PPM meter to figure out how much to give them and they are huge.. Each plant has different tolerances to different strength nutes. Once you find what your plants can handle run with it. As far as all those other things on there, IDK I think they're a crock of shit. Give them NPK and some Micros and they will love you. After you flush, for the last 2 weeks use some molasses and plain water and it will sweeten them buds right up. Good luck brotha

The only time I would ever flush is if the plants developed a nute burn/nute deficiency. As stated by multiple people above, to each his/her own.

So your not using the Nutrients in Orange. Just the Solubles.... Open sesame, chaching, beastie bloomz.
If your just using those 3 I wouldn't worry about flushing with the Sledge Hammer or plain water.

If your Using the whole Fox Farm Line, and following the feeding schedule. Then use the Sledge Hammer when it tells you to.
It removes salt build up in your soil.

If your plant shows signs of stress, color irregularities your supposed to flush the growing medium with sledge hammer, and grow big at twice the volume of water to remove salt build ups.

When your using the whole line, at 100% those nutrients are potent chemical nutrients. That's why your plant grows like crazy.
They don't tell you to flush with sledge hammer just for the fun of it.

Feed properly and you will never need to flush.
I think I am done fighting about flushing, I'll just say "lol" to people that choose to flush.
Then I'll go downstairs and smoke a bowl of unflushed weed that smells and tastes great and burns to a white ash.

I'm a newbie and this is probably a stupid ass Q... but is there a way to add different flavors to your bud? Or is fruity pebbles and Skittles just added to concentrates? I'm an old 70s smoker and some of these new strains and flavors get a little confusing. But I have either a MK ultra plant or a brick weed plant and I want to be able to change the flavor if it's possible and only if the bud is really nasty tasting. I heard dozens of comments on Mexican brick weed seeds and I think it'll taste good on it's own without being sprayed with soda to compact it and no love during any of their growth etc etc. But of course I'm praying it's an MK ultra! I am sure it's an indica plant though. It has FAT leaves and grows super fast. I tied it down at 8 in and now it's 4 in and has 14 tops and I don't really know where to go from here...I get nervous and do stupid crap at the spur of the moment. She's pretty, I just got her in a 10 gal fabric and I was thinking maybe topping the 14 when they are a little bigger or now? The stalk is thicker than my thumb .(looks like a brocolli stalk). Any suggestions besides finding a good shrink? Hahaha

leads are called terpenes and flavanols profiles that bring out the taste and smell. Also dont mix soda and candy in soil. That absolutely does not work at all.

Super old thread but guess what my man. With legalization and people able to do scientific research on plants have found out flushing is an old myth. Those last 2 weeks plant is starving living off just water. I feed every watering too

I tried to follow that chart, worse mistake I ever made. Flushing first of all doesn’t do anything. Secondly, why would I flush everything I just put in my plant while it’s still growing??? I never understood that on their feed schedule. On my next run I decided to do things my own way. Feed/water/feed/water all the way until I chop. This time I harvested exactly what I thought I should have, and guess what, no deficiencies or toxicity. I’m not sure of the science behind flushing on their chart, but don’t follow it, it will do more harm than good. The only thing I used on that chart was how much to feed per bottle, and I even used less than what they recommended.
