I only mix mine when im going to use them. if it stinks toss it and mix it fresh, why risk it? Those nutes sittingin water are just dying for stuff to grow.. bacteria, molds, fungus etc eww.

I use the FF trio myself.

I use FF also and cap and it never smells. If i mix molasses in and cap it then it starts to smell horrible. Make sure you mix your nutes seprate or they may not dissolve into the water and might cause lockout and maybe that cause it to smell.

I only mix up what I'm going to use and if I happen to have any left over, I dump it.

At 20 bucks a bottle, it's not worth killing my babies.

Heck, if it was 200 a bottle, I'd still dump the excess.

Yeah, I figured the same, I watered about one quart per plant (4 plants) so it pretty much consumed the whole gallon. Ill do this for sure every time now. Mix right before water. Thanks guys!!

So does letting your mixed nutrient water sit for awhile not all that good??
Apparently not. I mixed mine, capped it and let it sit for 3 days and it went bad. I dont think it caused any problems (Feed once with it because I was in a hurry). Smelled like it was rotten, like vineger.

the nutrients will cause algae to grow in the container. you need a light proof container and keep it out of warmth

I use a water jug (hinckley springs) open the top, throw in a small air-stone (with a 110 gph airpump) and throw a black towel over it. I learned not to premix nutes and let sit w/o airbubble much less pre mix and let sit at all it is a really good way to waste your money, although I have read some nutes are better when you pre-mix and let sit (mostly applies to organic nutrients) good read guys
