My recently harvested-and-cured Dr. Greenthumb Bubba OG plant grown from feminized seed has been great in all respects; in smell, taste, and stunning high.
But tonight, I found a seed as I was preparing bud to grind. It's the only one I've seen thus far.
What could this mean?
Feminized "in a sense" althought others will disagree with me, are not very stable genetics, they use silver colloidal (this may be wrong) to make a plant go hermie, thus causing seeds. IMO most genetics have a 25% chance of going hermie on you if you purchase Feminized beans. The seeds offsprings will indeed throw some crazy pheno's if they are planted, I am doing my own person experiment at the moment, none of the plants took the same as the pheno as the original parents.
Imo the only true Bubba is the pre-98 Katsu cut, IN CLONE FORM ONLY! Everything else will give different pheno's, yes you may be lucky and get a perfect Bubba pheno but your chances are rare. However I am not saying you won't have killer buds. But imo you will not have true Bubba.
Now lets talk about environmental stresses. I'm a 100% sure you got a natural hermie seed, but yes environmental stress can cause a plant to hermie. But out of the 1000's of plants I've grown the only one's that ever went hermie was Feminized.
So all in all, what I am really trying to say, is if you kept a mom she will only render hermie clones, and imo will not be worthy of as a keeper..
