forced flowering

You aren't gonna be able to force flowering unless you can make it so the plant has 12 hours of darkness followed by 12 hours of light every day until harvest. If you built a small greenhouse, you could cover it with a tarp during the extra daylight hours, but you would need to check sunrise and sunset times every day and do it at pretty much the exact right time, which will be slightly different every day. That means every day you will need to sit down and figure out the timing for the next day, then set your alarm, or whatever. Its alot of work, go for it if you think it's worth it. You will get a better yeild if you wait till fall. Unless you want to do the thing with the tarps (which would be no picnic, and you would need LIGHT-PROOF tarps, also), you will most likely have to wait out the season like almost every other outdoor grower. But dont worry, if your plants are already a month and a half old, they will be big enough to give you a pretty decent crop come fall.

Well, I guess another method you could use would be to make sure you do everything at the right time, and have some place that is totally and completely dark to put them for 12 hours a day. I mean, If you already knew all this why did you ask the question? no offence meant, Just curious. Basically what you need to do is find a way to keep them in total darkness for 12 hours of the day, and hopefully in sunlight for the other 12 hours. I don't know how big your pots are, when I think outdoors in pots, i usually think a cubic yard of soil minimum cuz I don't move mine around, but since you are gonna force flower at this size, you don't need as much root space, you might be able to keep them small and moveable. It will give you substantially less yeild, though. You could potentially get like four times as much, but if you don't care about that, its your descision. I just wanted to make sure you knew what you are potentially missing out on.

What size pots are they in right now? That makes the difference wether you can easily move them or not, which will mean you have different options when it comes to this. If you are at about 1 and a half feet, and force flowered right now, you will need a minimum 3 gallon pot. It's a good general rule for most growers to have one gallon of soil for every foot of plant height (Yes, Fdd, I've seen the picture of your 6 month veg in the tiny pot, but most people can't do what you can do!). Anyway many plants will completely double in size during the flowering period, so you want to make sure you have a big enough pot and won't need to transplant, but something not too big that you can still move around easily multiple times a day. Your plants may be 3 feet tall or more when finished, depending on the strain. Do you know what strain you are growing?

bagseed and yes i will transplant in bigger pots b4 i force flower, i know the yield will be smaller but i want bud while waiting for my other plants to grow naturally,

ohhhh, that makes alot more sense now! You should have said that in the first place! lol! ok so you get the basic Idea. I would reccommend going to at least 3 gallon pots. I got that number taking the height of the plant, 1.5 feet, and doubling it. One gallon of soil for every foot of growth on the finished plant. Your plants might not be exactly double, some strains will be more, some will be right on, and some will be less. Do you remember what the weed was like? Were the nugs dense like an Indica with dark green, maybe purple coloration? Or, were they lighter and fluffier, maybe lime green or light green like a sativa? or somewhere in between? Because if you can determine if your genetics are Indica, Sativa, or a hybrid of both, it may help you learn something about how long it is gonna take to flower. If you happen to know the name of your bag-seed, it REALLY helps, but that pretty much only happens in California where even regular smokers, not just growers, care about strain names. Anyway, If you think you can put them in a small room or closet with no windows or seal a room off from all light, and keep them there for exactly 12 hours a day, every day, this method should work. Is that what you are planning on doing?

The only reason I was asking is because It can give you some idea as to just how long you will have to do this and how big the plant will get ahead of time. If you don't know it's not a big deal, just do it till it looks done. At least 2/3 of the stamins have changed from white to orange, and the trichs are starting to turn cloudy. Any time after that its ok to harvest. Some people let the trichs turn really cloudy, this supposedly increases the CBD%, resulting in a more complex high.

Anyway, it sounds like you know what to do, Another way you can tell is that if the leaves are fat and short, it will probably flower faster than if they are long and skinny. Ok, I hope I was some help. :peace:
