I have a good background in carpentry because I took the time to get credits in shop/carpentry.. And there are a few construction hotspots like Arizona or New orleans(which i dont want to touch with a 20 foot pole)

So my understanding is that for about 10-12 years I can Make enough money to live a good 20-30 lifestyle..While having enough casg left over to buy/rent a house or Condo in chicago and then have a few years being that Favorite english teacher..

And then......well ill retire somewhere that i can live the rest of my days growing and smoking pot. :hump::hump:

lead framers make dummy money..and teachers get bomb ass benefits (my mom is a teacher)
especially in chicago! teaching at a good school with my aunts union background will boost me up to a full teaching position rather quick..

Visual Basic is easier to use and allows a lot more creativity than ActionScript...

C++ all the way.
did u know u can get most of the speed of c++ in vb by using the c compiler in combination with the user friendly vb code.

i've just scratched the surface of raw c++, but vb is just so comfortable,
do u use the interdev c, or some other version?

first degree: BFA Theatre Arts with emphasis in Lighting Design, and electronics cert.

--Worked for almost 9 years as a professional lighting designer doing corporate shows, concerts, magic shows, fashion shows, exhibits and a myriad of other things, including some television pilots. As an independent wages were between 50 and 80k a year. All travel expenses paid and several companies had me on Part-time so I had benefits.

Currently in MFA program starting 2nd year of 3. 4.0 GPA all the way. Will be pursuing a new career as a professor. :) Hopefully a PHD in Ed admin is in the future too. Will smoke/grow till the day I die.

Man, you gotta be high to like Visual Basic or Perl...

You work with Windows?
That and Cocoa a little. Most apps are for windows. But then again I am on a forum where people grow and smoke a bunch of weed. So yes, I am high. But VB IS better than ActionScript. Although I still have my issues with the .NET framework... :roll:

I am proud to say I put myself through college with no debt, but grad school was a way different story!!

Undergrad = double major theatre and English
Grad = creative writing

I now make my living as a writer. Imagine that! I'm not rich by any means but I'm supporting myself. I have accomplished all this while smoking. Yes it is possible to be a pot-smokin' overachiever!
