what are you setting the pH at? Those rust spots are a sign of a mag deficiency I think, are you using cal/mag?

usually at 6.0 but it was at 6.2 today....do you think the lights could have gotten to hot? I have 2 fans on them they are about 2-3 inches away from the plants......

thats why u should grow organically, hydro sucks. but just if the bottom leaves keep yellowing just clip em, cus the other ones will grow still.

You will be fine, just keep the lights on them and the water Ph to around 5.8. up or down a few points will not make a huge diff unless your strain is supper sensitive. Dont clip any leaves, you will see when they are ready to fall off, then just remove and discard them.

The hydro is alittle tricky at first but you will soon find that it is well worth the effort in quality and yeild, plus they finish faster.
Pay attention to your plants but do not over mother them. They are weeds, they can live thru alot.

That hydroton looks pretty bright, did you wash the pellets off first before using?

Ok thank you ..so far i have been watering once a day because peet pellets seem to stay pretty wet they were just put in the system with clay pellets and net pots but i had ran out of distilled water i do havea a ph tester so i will go and check the ph in the well water and start my system thanx lot...oh and yes we washed and soaked the clay pellets pretty good..

i have used peat pellets and they work. They do have some down falls that you will not get with rockwool, but they still work. You will get alot of salt and algea build up with pellets.

BTW, you should test your water AFTER you put the nutes in it.Nutes are ph balanced and will change the Ph of your local water.

Hopefully i don't have to many problems with them and i will try rock wool next time but also the closest store that has them is an hour and a half away..but if its worth it i will make the drive...gas prices just suck :(
thanx for advice!

it looks like they can recover ^^ and here's a question for any one good with DWC ok I got my setup done and I have a test clone in it but I didn't add any nutes into it but I don't have any actual hydro type of nutes, should I add some 20-20-20 to the water? the clone has 3mm roots
