So I have been on a day of research and have a GREAT TOPIC.
flushing....
I just read from a pretty trusted source that P is the only thing that really amounts to the harsh smoking and bad taste. So if you flush with molasses all the way up to chop you're doing it perfect. As long as it is organic molasses. YOu will flush out all the P, and iron and manganese help to metabolize N, so you just flushed out your N. but you have K still. He was saying that K all the way up and left over in your buds is actually really good. Helps with shelf life and taste and smoke.
Also you aren't starving your plants of the much needed nutes to give them that boost the last week or so.
Any opinions? Any other knowledge? Any other EXPERIENCE!
Obviously I'm looking to simply get the best result. If I can quit using my ferts about 8 days before harvest and just continue using water and molasses and keep the plant much more green then flushing and still get the same taste and great smoke as if i had flushed the whole time, i think i'll take the chance that i increase my yield by keeping the plants greener for longer...right?
I know people say that you don't have to worry about starving your plant of nutes when you flush because as the leaves turn yellow and you pull them off the buds are still getting all the nutes they need... but i am pretty sure plants produce a lot more then if they are flushed... they just smoke like shit.
thanks for the feedback
