This may sound really simple and dumb but i have not had any germ issues since i Started doing this 1 . Clean seed with alcohol or peroxide( dont immerse)and dry . 2 place in ziploc with minimal clean water .3 push all air out of Ziploc creating a negative pressure. 4.place on top of warm t.v lol . 5.check in 2 nights have very good success with method .or you could just plant in coco and per. Mix with plastic of some sort to keep moisture in untill seed sprouts above either way just sharing some info . '

HMMM, I wonder what kind of baggie and cable box Mother Nature uses??? LOL...JK!!!

I have done both the paper towel thing and the direct soil planting thing...I prefer the latter...Just sayin'

Hey...whatever floats your boat! LOL!!!

I just like to mimic nature as much as possible. So, when I see the God of my understanding putting a seed in rock wool or jiffy pots or even paper towels...I may be more inclined to use some of these methods

I just drop the seeds in a coffee cup of tap water. I just had 8 seeds and all popped. 5 in one day. Then I stick em in rockwool

oh yea that one also works like a charm.
I just can't see doing it any other way. It completely soaks them and as long as you're keeping an eye on them you should be okay. I guess one thing is that you should be careful taking it out so you don't damage the taproot.
