East coast has terrible weather and a shorter season.. Always wet and humid. No way it can be compared to the west coast. California produces most of America's outdoor for a reason.
we also have one of the longest mountain chains in usa if not the largest (some of your best shit comes out of the mountains/foot hills)
weed and ginseng 2 cash crops ....the best part is ginseng likes the shade so planting it under the weed they grow fat roots ...it is wild simulated so get a good price per pound

i am saying give us 10 years of legal open growing and bet east takes the most medals for the year in contests

modify beer keg ...... bottom of it use a 1 inch npt coupling the element will slide right in ......1500w 20 amp so use a 30 amp breaker

i like it allows me to heat the whole thing up slowly......then i turn it to 7 and 2 bars it will cook it down .....about 210 just before water boils by then it gotten out most of it to the thumper i change over to a half gallon tails jug collect until u came to the party(if your mash is 20% stop at 20 if it 14% stop at 14 )turn it up to 8 collect in the parrot until it reads

cooling just get a 55 gallon cooler cut a hole in the top fill about 20 gallons of water and use 20 lb ice bags 2 hours then u will need more ice
....mine is set up i can add more mash to stil and thumper (drain the thumper)

copper mesh in the still head copper to the end

down side the builder tried a trick for see tho worm the plexie glass could not take the pressure could not get a good soder myself so PB wield and shlack the top

Nothing like maple syrup and good ole shine.....Oh and i don't hate on mass at all. as far as i'm concerned they are part of vermont, minus that commenwealth shit they covet. I picked tobacco in north hatfield mass on the sanderson farm for my entire junior /high school summer breaks, only kid on the ENTIRE crew that wasn't purto rican from chicopee! Learned alot during those years! Love mass.

It's been a minute mr.foothills. How'd that swiss skunk turn out you were playin with awhile back?
Hey you, it has been a bit or two. I think yer talking about the Super Skunk I did a few years ago. Didn't turn out well that year. I was forced to move to a low, swampy area and the girls didn't like it much. I got some, but not a lot and the smoke was only so-so. That was the year I learned how important location can be.
How was the growing year over in your neck of the woods ? Anything outdoors or no ?

The reason the east coast is not known for having any good wine is the (environmental) growing conditions are not right. You could extend that to marijuana. Medals, blah blah blah. The best grower in the world can not grow great marijuana in very bad conditions.

Making good whiskey is not dependent on climate.

I've had some impressive wine from newfound lake nh.. But it's all desert wines for the most part, made with berries... We've got berries hahaha not soft skinned grapes so much. You're right the climate isn't ideal not going to fight you on that one! Just got into wine it all tasted the same for a long time I'm finally getting a nose for it but my comparisons only make sense to me. This one smells like a little burnt clutch with a hint of a burnout on the aftertaste.. Oh this ones like a foundry with a hint of a spark plug running a bit lean and detonating.

hahaha i know how to brew stronger potions then u

u got nothing on wines .........i am sorry the most prizes go to france ..........and i do know little about wine the climate here is great for it one of the reason they have 30 wineries just in my little section of bum fuck ........they are new and the vines are still not mature enough to pass on good wine ......that and they have not spent the 30/40 years it takes to make blend / cross breed of grapes to call their own

the only thing u have on west coast is wine was big there for years so the leg work has been done already ........wine is nothing with out the grape and that takes years to get the right taste flavors .....so france england spain will have the best .....my older brother and his wife are all about wines so spending hours with them crap passes off

No, I can brew just as strong stuff as you. Pretty much anyone can.

Stop. You know less about wine than you do about analogies.

..........
wtf is that?

I have not heard of any good wines from out east. If there were any decent ones, you would think I would have had one by now.

You know shit about wine. It is all climate when growing good grapes for wine.

It was an analogy to growing weed, btw.

England?

I am not going to post a gif, I am just going to let that one hang in the ether, glowing in all its brilliant shades of stupid.
thanks for that.

ohhh hit a nerve there ........u must own one
sorry man if u look at climates your nothing special (in fact it is in trouble with the drought) ..........same conditions repeat in several places on the planet ....that is just common sense
the only thing u have is TIME as wine has been bigger out there for years some date back to 1600s ..... the grape imparts the taste of the land to the wine

it just matter of time ....logic again .......someone will decide to do it get a piece of land and spend the time money and effort ......the right grape the right land enough time and u got bottles for contest

it is the truth at this point and time now u win ......but with time and a person that wants it east coast can beat it (if the weather does not turn and give u rain soon and 5 ft of it your area is over worked to many ppl to big of farms .....it can not handle the shifts in weather patterns )
