Footcandles to PAR

my light meter shows at my canopy it is 22 footcandles on the x100 reading. Does this mean I have 2300 footcandles there? and 1 footcandle is = 10.76 lux which is around 22000 lux. When bulbs say they put out 140,000 lumens does that just mean at the source? And also can you figure out your PAR by knowing how many footcandles your at?

Yes. How much of that actually reaches your plants is a function of how well you understand, and utilize, the whole lighting process.

As for the other question: PAR and footcandles have nothing to do with each other. PAR has to do with what spectrum the light is. Footcandles has to do with how much volume of light is being produced (or in your case, received).
