Follow up appointment crap

Got my rec recently and was ambushed by the fact that not only do I have to renew each year but 6 months after getting the Dr's rec I have to go for a follow up visit which also costs $.

For those of you who have got their rec's do you also have to go for a 6 month check up and pay a fee or is it just a rule made up by the office I visited.

What would happen if I blew off the follow up appointment? Would it nullify my rec? The rec says it's good for one year.

The patient-qualifying organizations want to show MA lawmakers the largest amount of taxable revenue to support the immerging industry. That's why they're recommending semi-annual, costly visits.

-Right now patients and interested parties (who aren't loaded or overly-qualified), have almost no way to pursue a career, or even a hobby in producing MMJ for the qualifying patients. With that said the MA industry, as it stands, ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT, deserve more than your hard earned $200!!! That's equivalent to 14g-28g depending on the quality/market/etc!
-The industry needs to be supported and established through the commonwealth- that in turn will receive the same explosive economics stimulus that other areas of the U.S. have seen- namely CA.
-The industry needs to be less walled to the many everyman-cannabis connoisseur-ready to dedicate themselves to growing for the better good!
