foliage feeding.

Has anyone used compost tea? I saw about it on the back of my Dr earth fertilizer bag. So I decided to whip up a batch. But I have to let it set for 24 hrs. So I figured I'd get some present day insight from active member on how they feed the top side of their plants.
So questions.
1 does it actually boost growth?
2.how much do you use for each plant?
3.when do you feed them?
4.how often?

Thank you in advance.

I don't think it would be an ideal foliage feed product it might spawn some nasties on your leaves it has bacteria food. I foliage feed with cause only. Such as if my plants aren't getting Nitrogen fast enough I use Cal Mag Plus with a wetting agent. I have never had any problems caused by it but then again I use 1/2 of what the bottle recommends for foliar sprays. But I don't foliage feed as a rule and as a matter of fact foliage feeding is a whole lot more work than I want to do. What I want is to set it at 75F, bake until golden brown, remove. I think you will get to this point soon enough :)

I feed this way everyday and the mix is 9:1 water/whatever.
I have a problem on the leaf but im dumping mix on the root to go all the way thru the plants system to get to the leaf or just spray the leafs and absorb on site?
