FOCO tap water question

Hello Everyone,

I moved to Fort Collins about 2 months ago and immediately saw the doctor, needless to say, I am 100% legal. Finally, right? Anyway my question is.

Is Fort Collins tap water suitable for the Ladies?

The reason I ask is because I only have experience using spring water. I spent 10+ years in Maine using water from a natural spring 5 miles from one of the Poland Spring source wells.

What can I expect a RO system to cost? Are there natural springs in Northern Colorado? Are there products available to add to the water?

Thanks

pics and journal will be ready soon

We have outstanding water here in Fort Collins . Look over your shoulder...see the Rocky Mountains ??

I wasn't sure if there was an abundance of an unwanted mineral in the tap water. Thanks Guys.

I have decided on a pre-filter and RO.

I have had no problem with the FoCo tap water, I just let mine sit out for a day or two and its clean as can be. No need for a R/O machine for soil growing here :)

That's what I wanted to hear. BadAndy, my pH comes in at 8.0/8.1 this is what I was concerned about. I assume that there is an excess of some mineral that causes the higher pH. Someone with unknown experience from a dispensary said they run right from the tap sometimes.

I am starting to see some burnt tips on my girls who just started their second week. Pics soon.

Thanks Dread

I feel ok with the tap water. I will go RO as soon as I can afford it. Mostly just so I have more control of the H2O.

Thanks for the replys

There is always chlorine in city tap water, chlorine is a poison. Not from Ft. Collins, but in my city you can taste the chlorine at times, so i always believe that to get the results we all look for get a 0 ppm RO system, you can get one for $100 from purewaterclub.com or from them on ebay.
