You can't. You cannot flush soil with time release soil. I'm sure you already heard all the bad stuff about this kind of soil.

What I would recommend to you is to do the following, although it may sound a bit, well, stupid or complicated:

Put your pot with the crappy soil in the tub, garden or any other place that you wouldn't mind getting wet. Remove the dripping pan from under the pot. Water the soil with a whole lot of water, so that you can see the water escaping through the holes in the pot. The idea is to actually remove all the nutes you added without having any water build up in your soil. Extra water will release more nutes from the soil. This is inevitable, but you can still get rid of any extra nutes.

Do this once or twice a week. After this procedure, put the pot with the plant back in the grow room with the dripping pan under and just water normally, when your plant needs it.

Hope this helped.

Flushing two times a week?? Isn't that kind of excessive?

And on topic: I don't really have any idea how to flush time released nutes, I think he's right that you can't get them out.

i think what i may do is get a P N K meter and test a quart or so of the soil to see what its levels are then add some florakleen and test the results
