How do I flush a hydro system, just fill the res with RO ph'd water and let it run? (gonna add clearex) If so how long do you leave it run? and how many times would you change out the res before mixing up nutes again? (I am in the middle of a grow, so I'm not flushing to harvest) or would you do it like a soil grow just pour the water around the plants and let it drain into the res?

When I over nute I drain my rez and fill with tap water then PH and run for 3 days. Then I add 1/4 strenth nutes.

During that three day period do you change out the water again or just run the same water through it for three days?

I wouldn't flush plants for multiple days in the middle of a cycle unless you really fucked up bad, usually most mistakes can be corrected by making a fresh rez, or adjusting ppm up or down with fresh water, or leaching salts out of the trays by top flushing, then starting a fresh rez.

if you over fed them, top flush for 1-2 res worth of pure water, then make a fresh rez at 50% str for a few days.

Unless you are having a nutrient related problems you will do more harm than good.

If you are having a nut problem then you might be better off just running a 30% strength solution for a few days and then start bumping up your PPM.

HEY I have done hydro for a while its all i do and what you need to do is just every seven days of nutrient, do one full day of flushing with your clearex solution mixed with water and thats all you need. P>S before harvest just make that clearex flushing solution and do it for 7-14 days

I am using 1 1/2" rockwool cubes and hydroton in a ebb and flow system, the leaves are curling downward, the foliage all looks nice and green though.
