I have got some problems on one of my plants, I cant really tell what it is, nutrient toxicity probably, and my cameras broke so no pics. I just put them into flowering cycle about 8-9 days ago, and was wondering if it is ok for me to do a flush at this point? Will it stress her out?
Also, do I have to ph all of that water to flush her with? It seems like a lot of water to ph. And also does it have t be the RO water Ive been using or is tap fine to flush with?
I also have a bottle of this Clearex from botanicare, is this worth using?
And one more, I watered yesterday, if I flush can this cause my plant to be over watered? THX in advance, plus rep for help!!!!

Yeah, sorry, it is soil, roots organic. Im not crazy about it, I have to check the ph of the run off and see whats up with that.

Flush, then wait till soil dries ( not bone dry but as you normally would), then start nutes @ 1/4 strength.. After the flush and dry u should be able to see if the problem is getting worse or slowing.. but your plant will need nutes on the next watering so start back @ 1/4 strength...

Can I flush with the tap and clearex, and ph it?
Im not sure what your tap is like but if youve been using R/O water with Organic Soil then that could be your problem.. Organics is best with purified water.. The R/O water is stripped of all minerals . its basically dead water.. And with Organics Consisting of Living Matter I think u can see the contrast. You may be experiencing a cal mag def due to the R/O water... Look into Cal Mag Defs...

I have been using Cal mag plus every wtering, but you are right, wonder if I should start using tap?

I use tap with my Organic garden with no foul.. I usually let the water sit out at least 24 hrs to let chlorine evaporate but there have been more than a handful of times ive watered straight out the tap. The one thing I try to maintain is root zone temperatured water. To hot or cold and you can shock roots and slow things up.. I would also imagine with that taking place nutrient uptake would be comprimised.. In my opinion i would use tap water ( depending on PPM and PH of water ) over R/O water in my organic garden any day.

Heres my current organic run with tap water

When you first switch to flower your plants will look burnt, but it is because of the unnecessary nitrogen already stored in the plant...you could flush if you really think there could be aproblem, but I think we are all so afraid of nute burn that we under fertilize and end up looking at what we think is still nute burn when in fact it is the opposite...Sheebus knows I have a million times...I finally realized that if the plants still looked burnt when they had had absolutely no nutes then I wasnt' burning them in the first place...lol.

I agree.. in most cases growers only think of nutrients and fertilizers but depending on variables such as the water source there may need to be some supplements added to regiment. yes most supplements can be found in the nutrients but sometimes they are lacking and need a boost..

Dude, looks awesome. Very funny, I am growing Afghan Kush from WOS as well along with 1 Pinnaple express 1 L.A. Confidential. Its one of my AK's that is giving me the problems, the other one, different pheno, is doing just fine. I think we also have the same tent, DR 100? Even the little fan. LOL. Man yours look spectacular though!

So I am gonna go ahead and flush it with some ph'd tap water, now should I give it a mild nutrient solution after the flushing?

Yea i believe its the 100... and thanks man! Ive finally gotten my organics down to comfort. took me a little while to figure things out but im getting there.. thats what I love about this hobby, its a never ending learning process.. Im dabbling into Hydro at the moment as well. But ill never ditch the organics.. I personally think if I used airpots and lots of perlite in my soil that I could come close ( maybe not match ) but come very close to the vigor of hydro...just would require an adjustment to my feeding sched..

I would wait until soil dries as normal.. Because @ that point you can asess the situation.. after the flush if it has gotten worse then I would think its a def an start nutes @ 1/4 strength. if it seemed to be getting better I would probly say it was a toxicity and do a normal watering ( water only ) to continue to bring toxic levels down..

Awesome, Im still figuring it out, on my 3'rd real grow, last one was figuring HID lighting and fucked up growing sativa with indica's and just got confusing keeping up with what needs what and height. Made it tough again this time trying new stuff, Roots Organic soil, Botanicare nutes, and smart pots. Switched up from Fox Farm stuff which I think I had figured out. But, you know what its all doing great, just this one Afghan Kush is a problem, I think its just finnicky. It seems to be more more sativaish, kind of, longer narrower blades, the other one has fat ass leaves and is way stouter, also this time I bent them all over instead of topping. which I had great success topping with last grow.

Good call!
You know besides the burning spots on the leaves, some sides of blades are folding underneath them selves, I cant find a problem chart that describes that.

Alright, so I just flushed her, and half way through I sampled the run off and it read 5.0 with my drops and 5.5 with my meter. So I raised the ph of the water used to flush to almost 8 I think, and ran the rest of the water through and it still sampled in the 5's. What the fuck? I need to research raising the ph of the soil, dolemite lime I think. This is probably the culprit of my problems, and am surprised the other plants in the same soil arent having the same problems, but they may be on their way. What do you guys think?
Should keep trying to raise the ph of my water till it runs out like I want it, it just feels wierd watering my plant s with such a high ph, I know Ive read about doing this several time, any of you have experience with that?
And Im pretty sure this is the problem, the ph, should I wait till the ph in the soil is adjusted correctly befor feeding?

Yeah I would definitely get the ph stable. Are you ph'ing your nutrient mixes when feeding? And to what ph?
