flush question

Hi RIU, I was reading in a horticulture book, that I am suppose to flush with 3x the amount per pot size. So if its a 5 gallon pot, I flush with 15 gallons of water. I have a 30 gallon pot, so they are telling me to flush with 90 gallons of water? I see that as way too much water for me. I don't have proper drainage for that amount. How else could I flush my plants?

Is there a reason you're flushing? Do you have a toxicity prob? Is there nute lockout? Pics would help a bunch....The only reason to flush is if you have a salinity build up (toxicity) and it's locking out the nutrients...

STOP...STOP...STOP....

Flushing really....

You seem like a logical guy....

Why would anyone flush ?
Dry proper, and then cure...properly...
WTF Seriously... flushing... not another flushing thread...
Here's one:

Good Luck... if your plant is healthy... why would you want to starve it, when it's ready to pack on weight?

Flushing before chop washes out the crap that would make the smoke harsh. Well I've read, and last grow I flushed for 2 days before chop and got a decent result, although I did have access to fresh mountain water. Not certain in my case I even need to as it may be just a myth. Thanks to all for responding.
