Hey guys/gals, I've bn using BigBloom, Tiger Bloom, & Grow Big with my FFOF on my Autos that are in 5gal smart pots. I flushed them on the 12th with a gallon of RO water (ph'd 6.3) & again yesterday, but yesterday I added FF sledgehammer to each gallon of RO water. I have family coming early for Xmas, so do you think it will be ok to put them in 48hrs of darkness today & then harvest on Saturday or is that too soon??

image.jpeg Here's a pic from a few days ago, but I really just want to know if only flushing for 4days will work. I know people recommend up to 2weeks but I just don't have that much time without moving them to a friends house....

Running a gallon of water through a 5 gallon pot is not flushing. The experts say you need to use 2-3 gallons of water for each gallon of pot size. If you pour the water slow enough to avoid over-flows I figure 1 TO 1 flushing is sufficient. Object is to leach out any lingering nutes that can affect taste. I've seen unflushed over-nuted bud that smelled like a hospital and tasted worse. I like to flush 2 weeks prior to harvest and continue to water daily with untreated water like normal.

Note - if you don't have a sink handy you can make flushing easy using a 5 gallon container with a screen on top. Put your plant on the screen and add regular water until you almost overflow. Wait for some drainage to occur and keep filling the pot until your water is gone. It usually takes about 45 minutes of draining before the pot is ready to return to the flowering room.

Good luck, BigSteve.
