Fluffy vs Dense bud?

what do your guys prefer and why?

Kinda like ice cream, never had any I didn't like LOL.

Dense for the bowl.
Fluffy for rolling.

dense bud! The fluffies are okay but me and my wife would say the denser buds are more potent that those airy buds.

the fluffies look good but that's all they are good for...how do bud get so fluffy anyway??

i prefer dense buds, the denser the better.. don't really know why though.. i just think they have better bag appeal and look much better then some whispy ass bud..
all of the buds i've ever grown never seem to be super dense and it's been kinda pissing me off tbh.. they aren't super thin, but i see pix of all of these buds that just look super dense and it gets under my skin for whatever reasons..

im assuming the strain has something to do with it... i also read that how close and far away he lights are effects the density... idk if thats a myth

no, both of them are very true.. it seems that sativas tend to stay on the whispier side of things, and indicas more on the denser just from their genetics pretty much, lol..
and yah, light distances same deal.. the further away from the plants, the less dense they will be, and the closer they are, the more dense..

when i go to dispensaries and i see those fluffy budds, they are alwasy cheaper than the denser buds...i think genetics have a lot to do with it too. lately i've been sticking with bubba og or bubba kush. these buds are the densest of the others i've seen here in southern cal.

It mostly has to do with lighting. I grow the same strain as one of my friends and theirs is always fluffy as hell compared to my compact buds. I grow just a few plants almost directly under the lighting. They grow wherever the light reaches and rotate their plants. This means only a few of them are getting the direct light needed to create dense compact buds.

In my opinion the fluffier buds are not as potent as the compact ones. Strain my also play a part, but haven't personally seen this.

I prefer fluffy for personal and I give dense to my friends. I prefer fluffy because they dry more evenly and they usually have a more cerebral high.

not to dense nor not to fluffy for me. just right

i like dense buds, more wieght, and also usualy stronger, sometimes fluffy buds imho are a sign its taken down too early, obviously u get nice sativas that are fluffy but in most cases were im from (england, hull) its cos theyve chopped to early

I honestly like a little fluffier buds.... More surface area for trichs to grow on and weight is weight.,,, more weight in trichs...
but not too fluffy, just right

I with ya... same here

IMO its all about light penetration obviously people want thick dense buds the fluffy ones are on lower part of the plant

it all comes down to the buyer denser bud = less stem fluffy bud you got stem showing people dont like seeing stems
