on the spydr 2i are they getting 1700 umol/s 2.7 µmol/J at 630w by using a high kelvin like a 4000 /5000k with reds to round out the spectrum don't higher kelvin leds produce more light like with that gavida led light . is this how they are doing it

Many of these companies in China copy fluence for sure I am fond of made in the USA and even more for fluence because they are in Texas
the original fluence ones do look 100x better in the build quality , just thought funny that that Chinese company has copied there whole range

I don't know how legit this review of the SpyderXPlus is but if anyone here owns one maybe they can verify or deny this review?

http://www.fluencereviews.com

The more i think about it the more i feel its possible as it was the Fluence transition from BML.
There was very little posted info on the X-Plus if i remember correctly.
If i were OP I'd be looking at the newer Spyders, or something with more to offer at a lower cost like the Bar-8. Not a COB light or anything that hasn't attempted to be Horticultural. That's been my stance since day 1.
Hope that helps.
GoodLuck OP!

Higher K just registers as higher readings do to the way meters read blue.
Appears brighter to the human eye as well.

Wow! Alibaba has every knockoffpossible.
Never really look there.
Tempting hu!

it does but you have to quiz them on what actualy is used in the lights , it is tempting as if they are using the same leds and drivers as are used in original products for like £500 each you could buy 3 for the price of one original Florence even if there is a slight difference in umol you would still be better off

If that's the style you are looking for, you can get an Amare Bar8 with an RIU discount for $1,200. Amare also offers a 25% Military discount.
You can get an ILuminar iL8 for roughly the same w/o the dimmer. Link
I'm posting the Bar8 thread probably tomorrow.
(I have both)
Ever post your Bar-8? Been very interested but haven’t seen much feedback

I have 2 spyder 2p's for flower and one spyder X for veg. Best investment I have ever made. Here is a strain I created and grown under the 2P. I call it OTC. Its a cross of girl scout cookies x orange cookies x Tahoe OG.

I was looking at the hlg 550 v2 or respec or whatever it is lol. I have a 300w Samsung strip led but not the 301s. I got it from the legendary nfhiggs himself. I wanted to try a different “type” of led aka cobs.
Maaaaannnnnn!!!! I wish I could have been able to get a light from HIM!!! That's probably the same light I was gonna get... Damn...

Yeah dude it’s the first “true” LED I bought. Before that they all I had were all cheap Chinese blurples. I’ve only had the light about a year and am still using it atm. Probably will keep it until it craps out. Feel like it’s a more “personal” light to me after all the great conversations I got to have with him.

Wish someone would have kept his business going...
