Flowering with Fluorescent lights

The plants were transplanted about 3 days ago from soil to hydro.

I would really like to know how much my estimated yield will be if i do not switch to HPS lights and just change the flouresent to 12/12 when plants are ready to flower and use them to flower.


any advice/tips would be great!

Using

• 15 gallon container
• 2 2ft flourestent lights on 18/6 timer
• Peters 20-20-20 nutes mixed about 7 tbls to 15 gallons
• 8' air stone with fish tank pump
• fan for oxygen
• hydrotone

you didnt say what lumen or calvin or wattage or if they are t12 or t8 or t5 tubes. clarify that for me,

they look bad, peters 20-20-20 in a hydro setup? get some nutes made for hydro. whats your ph at? might yeild a quarter of bud dry. those lights need to be alot closer too.

OK the problem is that we dont know anything about our lights. we just bought to 2ft fluoros from wallmart and hung them up. Well funds are limited. Ph is about 6.8. i just moved the lights up to take a picture but there closer than that. So you think we will yield 4ozs as is? we obviously havent sexed them yet.

Fluorescent suck compared to HID, If u have a HID use it.

not even close to 4oz, 1/8 of an ounce dry maybe.

the light came w/o any packaging and dont have anything written on the bulb and ballast? Look in the lighting faq section and learn what it is that you need in a light and what all the various things that you should look for mean.

ok I have 4 2ft T8 bulbs, I'm pretty sure there 6200k

you might be able to get 1/2 oz dry if your lucky. but its gonna be really fluffy most likely.

i wanna kno how you kno wut the yeild is gunna b b4 u see the size of it when it starts flowering

Get cfls lot better than ref floros to me I have a ? I have two 100 watt equivalent 550ok each and a 120equiv 3500k is that good for two plants 5+inches apart in a 3 gal pot ?

op-Pretty much nothing, even if you veg a long time that will just result in a bunch of fluffy as hell stretched buds that dont have enough light. Dialing in your setup perfectly helps, but lighting is very very very important. tubes only penetrate about 2-3 inches in, so if you want a decent yeild from them you would need to get alot of side lighting. Alot. lol. You should also get a few red spectrum tubes for them.

other guy Not really, you can make it through the seedling stage but thats not gonna be enough for good veg growth imo.

If you're growing with floro tubes you need to surround the plants with them as they only penetrate 4"-6" effectively. Add some CFLs.

Ok i will thinking about getting 4 cfls for side lighting. does that sound good and what types should i get?

get like 12-16+ 26w cfls to surround the plants, mostly red spectrum but get a pack of blue spectrum too.
