flowering times..

well here my prob ive bought some california special seeds, grown the fuckers and the about 1 and a half weeks till harvest i was wondering how when u buy seed they give u an estimates flowering time for the strain,now i was wondering if u start counting as soon as u go on a 12/12 cycle or at the time the white hairs come out,

for me it was 2 weeks differance,any ideas

When you stick a plant into 12/12 it doesnt always start flowering immediately. A lot of time the plant isnt fully mature and takes a little bit before its starts to flower.

The measurement is from the start of flowering, not the change of lights. Ive seen plants have hairs the day after i switch 12/12 and some take a week or 2.

it sounds like your looking for down-to-the-second information. its a plant, not a robot... it'll flower when it's ready.... like the other person posted it take between 1 day and a week

dude the plant has already flowered my problem being i dont have a microscope to look at the tricomes to see if there slightly amber,all i can see is white tricomes or possibly clear but i doubt that there clear so because of my impatiance i was going to harvest in week 7,rain hail or shine.and i needed a date to gauge of before the buds lose potency

And the reason you don't have a scope is.......? A decent one is usually less than $20.

and im in a place where there is no radioshack they use to exist but after a quick google search i cant seem to find any

and i cant order of the net anymore (fucken credit card)

what lights you using?

a single 250 watt mh with no reflective walls..

reflective walls would be of help, even flat white,check out my albums if you get chance, all enviro.

yeah due to my current living sercumstances ive had to put it in the center of my living room/lounge room.
ive attached foil to the hood of the light and draped it down about a meter with a line marked inside the foil indicating the 18" mark. it just saves me measuring..
it has done better than i expected altho i should of been aware to the time it takes a sativa to mature compared to an indica...and how early i should of forced flowering..

Very nice BB, I luv seeing pictures like that, bring a tear to my eye. Hey del you might want to get a hps bulb for flowering, red spec. is sapposed to better during flowering

And just so ya know it is very hard to let a plant go too long.....they don't just (trichomes) change color over night and you'll know there ripe when the new growth slows and they begin to swell up may even get an amber tint over the buds...scopes are cheep and the best way to tell. it very hard to let a plant get too ripe that is usually only a problem outdoors when you can't look at your plants every day

if i had the space i would, do i take it you have checked out my albums if not see what i did with enviro
