dont do that.. it will stunt the younger plants big time.
i know you can play with the duration of light during the flower cycle, but to play around with the duration of darkness is a risky venture indeed.
theres a guy on here, svendiesel i think his username is that runs a 36/12 cycle, and has great results (if a higher power bill) without affecting the overall period of flowering.
you need 12 hours of darkness for enough hormones to build up to tell the plant its time to bud.
if you let those same hormones build up for too long, you iwll have hermie issues i swear it!
the plant will think its armegeddon when its dark for 48 hours than go nuts and try to self polinate. flip the lihts back on and your younger ladies will start spittin out bananas after a few of those extended dark periods
