I've been putting my 1 plant under 2 23w 6500k cfls and 1 15w 2700k and the light cycle is the lights go on at 8am and go off at 8pm to start flowering do i just switch the time period so it would be lights go on at 8pm and then go off at 8am and to get them into flowering do i keep the light cycle on for 24 then turn the lights off at 8am let it rest for 12 hours then turn the lights on at 8pm? and do you think i should use more lights? cause i kinda plan on using 3 15w 2700k and maybe 1 or 2 23w 6500k

any info would be helpful, criticism or not

dont bother with a 24hour dark period before flowering , it doesnt jump start flowering and it just stresses the plant, the plant will flower when its mature and that maturity will dictate how long it begins to bud, not putting a unnatrual 24 hour dark period. keep the plants waking up at 8 as theres less chance of light leaks when their during the day and just trim you cycle down to 12 hours like 8 to 8, dont bother switching it to 8pm to 8am, it wont make any difference. think of nature , the hours gradually reduce down to 12 hours.

1º If you are in the vegetation period , you have to give them from 18 to 24 hours of light
2º Before going to flowering cycle you shoud give it 36 hours off darkness , after that you shoud start flowering cycle 12 of light , 12 of darkness , 12 of light , 12 of darkness and so on !

My advice to you is to buy a timer , so it can turn off and on the lights automaticly . Using more lamps is always better :D

well im not an expert , i hope i could help

At least use only 23 watt bulbs or higher, and if you're in flower try to use a 75% majority of 2700k bulbs.

Anything below 23 watts will not produce much more than popcorn buds, unless you surround the plant with them. If you've got sockets and you've got electricity, might as well add another 10 watts per bulb. I'd even go with 42 watters since you're using 5 or less sockets. Or maybe two 42 watters on top and three 23 watters on the sides like a triangle

with CFLs, you can't really use too many, unless you're burning your plants.
