flowering plants water intake

So does a plant that is 1 week away from harvest that is in a hydro set up begin to drink LESS water? So 2 weeks away from harvest I start to flush and after a week my plant just doesn't seem to be drinking nearly as much water as it was. Is this normal? Its like drinking a third of what it was.:-?

yep, completely normal. Plants in flower are growing most vigorously between wks3-6 when they are busy making a lot of leaf and vertical height as well as swapping over into mainly making buds. wks 7-8 are mainly spent on budmass formation, which doesn't take as much water.

Sweet thank you very much for that info! I couldn't find anything about that in the grow facts.

Yep, you've picked up on something that most ppl don't really notice, hence the lack of a GrowFAQ entry on the matter.
