Flowering, Flushing, and trichomes- help

Hey everyone

I have a Blue Dream Haze Plant that I have in a 3 gallon pot under a 150 W Sodium Bulb plant in its fourth week of flowering (the plant was in veg for longer than usual about 8 weeks). The plant is looking a little stretched but flowering at a very nice pace. i bought a pocket microscope today and noticed that trichomes are already starting to show (trichomes look pretty clear and very pretty). I wanted to find out when was the proper time to flush the plant and at what stage of the trichome maturity should i start to flush the plant if im looking for that semi couch locked feeling? I dont know what the breeders recommended flowering time is and im sorta going by trichome maturity at this point. Im attaching pictures, and yes i know its not the best looking plant but im very proud cause its my first one. Let me know if you guys see something odd, or any recommendations would help. Peace and Love, Peace and Love.

P.S My nutes are GH Flora Series and I feed/water/Feed/water.

First plant very nice indeed. This is generally speaking so it does not apply to all breeders. Flowering times are based on averages they did on a particular strain when THC is at its peak. That is where the trichromes microscopically appear cloudy. Looks like what you are after is a small percentage of trichromes being amber. Take several representative microscopic views of the plant and if you see about 1-5% amber trichromes then you can flush for a period of 10-14 days and that should put you close to the harvest window you are achieving.

Personally I very rarely check trichomes.

When a plant is ready it will look ready.

The overall appearance changes. The calyx's appear swollen. They also change colour with ripeness.

I personally do not flush as it starves the plant at a crucial weight gaining time.
