Hey everyone,
Just a few quick questions about the buds on my first grow -- three White Widows, 75° day, 65° night, 50-60% rh, 5 gallon pots, 50/50 FF Happy Frog and Ecoscraps potting mix, pleanty of CO2 (Not 100% sure on exact levels, don't have a meter, but I'd guess around 700ppm based on my math) and 400w hps with two 9w cfl UV-B bulbs running the middle 6 hours of the light period. Just had its first flush while flowering about 6 days ago, then finished the flush with a high P/K feeding.

First, is this around the expected size of buds and level of trichs for day 28? (counting from first sign of pistils.) It just seems like a couple of the plants are lagging a bit for as much as they took off right away... For contrast, the plants are each about 30-33" tall, and were topped a couple weeks before flowering. Also, the pictures make the buds look a bit bigger and less spaced out cause of the lighting.

Second, should I have pistils turning already? Especially on lower branches it seems like there is a lot of light brown ones.

Third, any guesses on their yeild? I know it's always hard to say, but random guesses would be appreciated! :P

Thanks in advance!

Natural light photos would help a lot.

Day 28 of...60ish? I'm no master grower but the size looks ok to me.

I wouldn't expect stigmas (pistils) to be browning this early, or at the bottom of the plant first, no.

Better pics, I be someone will have a good answer for you.

looks like you have runoff trays sitting flush under the buckets. Do you raise them up before watering?

Yep, going 60-65 days. I'll add some better pictures as well. Yeah, I wouldn't think so either. You don't think they're pollinated, do you? It seems like there are some awfully puffy calyx's here and there that have brown pistils, but also pleanty that have browned that dont have any puff. I'll add a pic of that as well. There were 3 males in with them, but I yanked them out before they could open. They shouldn't be able to pollinate if no pollen comes out, right?...

Thanks,

I don't raise them while watering, no. I don't have a good way to do so, but I empty them as I'm watering numerous times, then go back a few hours after and drain the last few dribbles out.

Yeah i just took a look at the newer pics. They look healthy enough, you're right i see some poofy calyx's here and there. Especially the top of the second pic and the last pic. Also looks like certain branches are the only ones affected. Hope you figure it out.

Those brown stigmas, probably got something splashed on them. I Neemed some flowers on my first grow and they did that. Didn't affect harvest, but certainly try to avoid.

You look okay overall. I'm sure there's some nits to pick, but I'd say no major worries ATM.

Bud size looks about right for where you are. No worries on pistils changing color, different strains act differently in that matter.

Yeild, about a pound;-)

Yeah, definitely not the worst I've seen before haha. Although I made a very unpleasant discovery today that explained my early turning for the pistils... got a hermie, and it pollinated the hell out of all 3 plants, and seeds are showing up everywhere. Oh well, it'll still be a usable end product I suppose. And it's White Widow now, but looking at getting some Kilimanjaro and Blueberry for future batches.

Not bad for first grow most people can't get seeds to germinate so you got this far also what strain are you growing well good luck
