I've ran 100w per sqft with two 400s in 2x4 genetic test tent with no issues before. A single 600hps stomps the two 400s though in 2x4 . Now I'm switching to QB 260xl since its just for genetic testing.

I'd get HLG 135 kit like mentioned for your 2x2

A 400 is not much good for over a 3x3 or 9 sq. ft. for flower a 400 just doesn't have the penetration to achieve flower density past 18". Want to see how close you can run a 400 hps with good ventilation.

Your right 400w ovea a 3x3 penitrates abought a foot. Good looken plants yes you can get close with a 400w but remember he has 5 ft to work with a low profile ac hood is still a foot high another foot to the plants. Just under a foot for the pots that leavea 3 feet for plants. Dooable but over veg even one week you in the lights. Like i said personaly i wouldnt do it probably not with a 315 either, i was implying it can be done. I just wouldnt do it. In a 5 ft high tent i would run led panel thats only a few inches high but thats just me.

LED is a viparspectra 600w
HPS is 450w with a batwing reflector

Cheers
whats the size of your grow room ?
if tent size is under 3ftx3ft then the LED should be fine but anything over that size you should look into more wattage .

My bad. I forgot that the op called his light a 600 when it's not. And you do the same thing.

To clarify, his light is 276 watts. Even when using blurples, it's better to state the actual wattage of the fixture in order to avoid confusion. I thought you were suggesting the guy use 600 actual watts of LED.

Agreed. The problem is most noobs have no idea there led isnt what it claims on the box. Every day people come into the shop. Looken for another led. Just an hour ago a guy came in looken for another led to go with the one he already had... Said he wanted a 600w led he said he has a viperspectra. Tried to explane to him his viper was only abought 300w and on a good day it might replace a 400w. Fucken led company lies pshh..
