Im currently in the third week of flowering and Im about to start up some flower nutrients. How often do I feed nutrients? I've read different peoples takes on the topic but whats some good advice for a first time grower? 1/4 strength every other watering? Every watering? I've got the Fox Farm nutrient chart, but is it something I should follow?

Strain- Mr. Nice--- one plant
Nutes- FF Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom
Soil- FF Ocean Forest
Lights- 7x 2700K, 3x 5500K CFL's
Pot- 3 gallon

Thanks er'body!!!! :bigjoint::weed:

c'mon mang!

You have gotten this far and your plant looks good. So, whatever you are doing is fine.

Remember, it's just a weed.

But, to answer your question, gotta know do you have a PPM meter? or EC meter? how about ph meter? You gotta measure somehow?

You should feed your plant every other watering, OR whenever it needs it. It looks nice and green, so no problems I see.

So, whatever it needs to grow, it is getting it from you currently.

I try to stay about 800-900 PPM on RO water 6.5ph for the first four weeks of flower. Then I try to raise it to around 100 PPM a week till I max at about 1200-1300 PPM.

But, it varies from plant to plant, I do know the strain you are growing and I know that the breeder runs about the same as the numbers I mentioned above.

But, you know the old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I would continue to do what you are doing, cause if the plant is responding and the bud sites are getting larger just roll with it.

The worse thing you can do IMO is to start fucking with your plant for no reason.

If it's green with no visable problem,ie.. curled leaf tips, bleached leafs, brown or red leafs, black spotsetc... Man you are on cruise control.

Just keep watering and feeding and wait for the big day when you chop.

Remember, nothing is a problem until it becomes a problem?!? Ya know?

Good luck. :bigjoint:

yeah man, I just picked up a Hanna ph, ppm meter so I can read, and adjust all of that stuff.

Im using RO water as well, 6.5 ph.

I had some issues during the last couple of weeks of vegging. Im thinking I was having some slight nute lock from ph imbalances. Which is why I picked up the Hanna meter. I did a slight flush before I switched to flower and I just left her alone, and as you can see she's doing pretty well.

Thanks for the response. I was looking for the exact info you shared. I think she's ready for some bloom nutes and next week Im CONSIDERING adding in a little molasses. Thanks again!

You are on the right track. I think you got a solid winner in that strain. I have smoked it before, hella good.

Sounds and looks like you got your shit together.

Good luck I hope you finish strong with big buds! And no issues till harvest.

peace :bigjoint:

i agree if its not broken don't fix it but..to stay healthy we have to keep being healthy..molasses is wonderful! its a catalyst ( helps carry your nutrients) also black strap molasses has the highest minerals. any how id go with half strength every other watering the idea is your constantly flushing that way if something does come up it is easier to correct and the half strength theory imo is well to much is not only wasteful it could cause nutrient lock proper ph or not..just the same for us humans to much vitamins will make us sick same theory..and if you get a slight deficiency and the nutrients don't correct it well then you know its something they were lacking to begin with..all imo hope some of it helped..

Do you think i'd be cool to add some molasses along with the nutes? And when someone is speaking of half strength or full, or quarter strength or whatever, are they basing that off of the suggested full dosage on the FF nute chart?
