Personally for what it's worth, I would use auto flowering lowriders if I were going to grow outside. Unless I'm mistaken the weed from southeast asia is sativa, if that helps you about the heat. Sativa though if you're growing outside can get pretty tall, another red flag as far as I'm concerned unless you are in a really secluded place, like the back acre of your forty acre place. GKN can probably give you some info about lowriders.

I live in Florida also.. hence the name, and Im growing in a swamp also but its not in the swamp its on a uplifting of land with blackberry bushes everywhere.

Florida is a great growing location for natural monster plants.. its a tropical environment.
Yet there are still many, many issues with Florida.. as someone said the heavy rains... the bugs and critters are ridiculous around here, i have 3 females... a deer stepped on my 4th.. it was a huge plant too im pist.

but two are budding and one is vegging. Do not use swamp water as water.. it has so much diseases and bacteria in that crap.

i'm gonna guess this guy got pinched, no response in years isn't good... must've been the full proof grow-in-parents-back-yard plan that did the trick.... God bless man.
