Florex lights?

hey guys,

i'm trying to find the right kind of lights and am having a little trouble finding them locally.

i phoned Home Depot and here's what they told me...

Metal Halide Light - 400 watts - $28.99 (but they don't carry the ballast)
High Pressure Sodium - 400 watts - $21.99 (no ballast available)

and then the guy said they have something called a Florex light...i have no idea if he diserned the reason for my call but he suggested this one.

Florex light - he said it uses 100 watts and gives off 1000 watts (what does that mean) and it's $59.97 for the light and the ballast. replacement lights cost around $17.

does it sound good to go with the Florex or invest on the other bulbs and seek out a ballast elsewhere.

i want to start a good grow so i want to make sure i have the right gear.

you could use CFLs instead or you could at least use them for the veg cycle while you're looking for a ballast and reflector.
