flora nova nutes any good?

well as the title asks flora nova any good? im gonna buy some nutes tonight to start off my first dwc. unfortunatly they dont carry fox farm around here, any other brand names good and hopefully flora nova is just as good.
please let me know



ive also done a lot of research and this flora nova supposily is really good but i want advice from the people of RIU since its been my most trusted resource so far.

I use Floranova in select applications. It is thick as mud, kind of a pain to mix. I mix it into a jug of water and shake it up really good then add to the res. It does clog worse than GH 3part, so I don't recommend it for aeroponic applications, but for your DWC, Id say go for it!

well then im set, i just bought my finishing products to get me going. now i just gotta find the time to take my babies out of the dirt.
i ended up getting floranova grow and bloom formulas
10g of hydroton
more air stones
more exhasut fans and should be set

now ive read people have had the nutes slime up their roots, anyways of preventing this?

yah it's good stuff.
You just have to shake the shit out of the stuff.


Slime- clean your system with H2O2 when you change your nutrients
Tempature of your Res.-watch the temp you wanna keep it low 65f 70F 75F -75F being the high temp.

awesome thanks, yeh i cant wait to get this all set up. now for water, i was going to start this and i need a bit under 14 gallons of water (since thats what size my res is) could i use tap water and leave it for a few days before i put the plants in their or should i be getting distilled. ive been looking for a few posts on here and havent seen anything yet on the water i should use.

Trains strain- I was looking at the flora series also but to pricey for me I use IONIC with RO water! Let me know how you like the flora!

hey trouble, ill let you know aswell as keep everyone else posted when it comes to me starting everything. im just getting my research finished up, along with the diy of my setup then ill transplant my pitiful soil plants into dwc and hopefully watch them take off from there

Dont spend the money on RO if you can drink the water you can grow in it. No need to let it set just grow away.

I went with the GH regular Grow Bloom and hard water micro. It's liquid and the has measurement for all prodicts on every gallon. Cheap enough to. There, that's my two cents. From what I hear you have high powered ammo. Be careful. Too much is not good. I does damage. Too little can be fixed. They'll just be a little slow.

Do you have a TDS pen? They're invaluable to let you know if your palnts are eating. I think mine was $40. Your plan is correct and almost fool proof.

yeah i got a reall good tds meter and ph meter.
weird thing is though last night i bought some ph down cause i was up at around 6.5 so i added my ph down and this morning when i checked im back at 7.2
i have no idea what im doing wrong here, i added the ph down let it sit for a few hours did a few readings and it was all good but now its going up. i hope i dont mess this up
right now heres my specs
ppm: 660
temp of res: 72F
temp of cab: 75F
ph: 7.2?!?!?!?!?!
it told me to add 70ml of floranova grow but i only added and 50 and im right where i need to be im pretty sure.

Whats your ppm? What media(rockwool, hydroton...)? Did you ph adjust your media first?

Hey bro, i'm on my first grow using Flora Nova series Grow and Bloom. I think they are great even though next round i'm going for Advanced Nutrients Monkey Juice (gonna try Coco Coir for 2nd grow) Heres a link to my journal thingy if you wanna see some results.

as i said earlier ppm is at 660 and im using hydroton, i washed them with distilled water. i read on another sire that was the thing to do, but like i said its up again at 7.3 now like wtf from 5.2 to 7.3 in less than 12 hours???
