plz help me as this is my first time i only have basic eqip as im poor with 5 kids and a dope habbit to support i need all the help i can get i have 5 plants at about 2″high with cfl lights on at night and sunlight in the day but some are started to die on me im gutted as i have really tried added nueuitons in compost but dont know how much water i should give them and how often i should water plz help thkxz

mate you need to read my grow diary so far 21 el-nino cost to get to flower 3.50 gbp

Listen mate I am on first grow 21 seeds and they all started different hell 5 were 5 cm taller by end of first week but by the 3rd week the smallest seed I had is now the biggest strongest plant so don’t worry just get a 250w cfl 5 inches of the top of them on 24/0 for 2 weeks if it’s a 125 cfl make it 2.5 inches and same time 24/0 2 weeks keep them in small pots this stops them growing up and thickens the stem and promotes shorter node spacing and more foliage I know this as a fact because I left 3 plants in 3x3inch containers they only reached 6cm in height but had so many leaves like a mini bush then after 2 weeks I transplanted them to their 3l homes and in one week they achieved the same height as the rest except have far more foliage and branches on all 3 plants they are the best in my grow room now and will be doing this procedure again.

What equipment do you have spec please I can show you how to make a sealed room for plants for next to no think this gives you better control over the environment

i have 100w cfl feeding on baby bio in a cupboard with tin foil as a reflector is this wrong how often should i water them each is in its own little pot about the size of a jiffy cup please help as i am a noob ay this i do appec all the help i can get thkz

You water when they need it there is no schedule. You will need to learn to pick the pot up and feel the dry weight so you know roughly when to water by how heavy the pot feels. When you get the hang of this you can nudge the large pots or bump them to see how they react instead of picking them up. its not good to wait until they droop badly and not good to overwater so you will just need to feel it out as not all plants absorb as much water due to lighting, age, growth rate etc. For watering though you will need to learn to judge for yourself there is no one that can tell you when to water without being there to see your plants. Pics dont tell me how heavy your pot is and over watering can look like underwatering. Most new growers over water so just take it easy and let the top of soil dry well and then start to get a feel for how heavy it should be when it needs water

Another good tip for watering is to allow for some good runoff every 3rd watering at least. You do not want to keep watering and feeding fertz and not allow any runoff. doing this is sure to cause salt buildups and PH will turn acidic so this is why its good to allow some good runoff every other time to ensure there are no issues and you know whats going on in the pot. If your nutes are 5-5-5 and you never allow runoff and the plant only absorbed 2-4-3 out of the 5-5-5 then the next feeding is not going to remain 5-5-5 its going to be all screwed up and keep this up your asking for problems

thankz m8 i am really trying as i have never grew a thing in my life i once killed a cactus plant so thats how useless i am more brown fingers than green lol they weigh about 100g with compost do i need to add nuiets in the first month or do i wait till they are bigger do i boil my water for ph balance or rain water plz help any info is good info once again thkz

My advice to you would be get hold of a hps light money folked out a the start will only be rewarded by nice yeild at the end.I'm not saying the cfls have not got a place in the growing of cannabis they just aint got the juice to get a plant to yeild.Go to a web site that sells hps lights and if you shop around you will be supprised how much the light kits are.I have just got 3 600 hps lights with ballast bat wing reflectors for £85 each.If you are new to the grow scene then do your research like your doing look how the pro's do it like greenhouse/thc labs and you will soon be produceing plenty of the finest cannabis anywhere.The jackherer that i grow is has good has any that i have smoked in amsterdam easy.You can easy produce 9 ounce min of a 600 watt light you get what i saying the light will pay for the electric used and the grade a cannbis that you smoke.Have the cfl's that you have for getting clones up to a foot tall so that the plants in flower will take 8 week the clones that you take of the bottom of the plants in flower you can put under the cfl's but i would add a couple of strip flouresents 3 ft ones are fine daylight spec get these cool though has they will need to be near touching the tops of the clones have the cfls warm daylight.By takeing clones of the bottom of a few plants you are doing the plants a favour by lollypoping them this needs to be done any how.This is the way that i grew before i moved to a house that i could keep a mother plant but this way works just has well.But once a year i like to get hold of the same seeds has i'm growing and start with new seeds because femanised seeds have a tendecy to turn hermi after growing in this way after so long.Get everthing perfect in the grow area before even putting any plants in there check temps with lights on and with lights off.You are looking for a constant temp.

Must agree with you mate could not live without my mh/hps but fact of the matter cfls and a combination of the others is far better than one or the other I know this check my grow out

you need to do some reading on BASIC growing principles of marijuana as well. You can't just throw a few seeds in some dirt and expect them to grow in to killer buds for you. There is an art and a science to it, especially if you want to grow quality smoke. which can be done with just about any kind of set up. Even the most ghetto set up should be able to produce good results as long as the gardener (you) has a decent growing culture (this means reading and learning) and is doing things correctly all the way from veg to flower. thankz 4 all your info guyz i have just added some blue led's to the cfl's i now have 300w cfl's and a blue led board p.s my babies are turning yellow plz help what am i doing wrong
i am trying to do this on a budget as i have 5 kids and money is tight as a ducks arse

my plants are just growing to about 2 inches tall then just the stems are flooping over there is only 1 75w cfl plus a few blue leds wwot am i doing wrong
