k so ive been doin my research for months and months and months and i think ive found a system that works for me. a flood table set up similar to al b's getting a harvest every 2 weeks.

i plan on having 6-8 plants in each tray under one 1000 watt hps(not each) compared to his 20-23 in each of 4 trays(think thats wat he said)

ok so now that u know the background....

he said his dimensions for his op was 7' tall x 8' wide x 9' long

i was planning on building a wardrobe like cabinet to put my systems in. i was planning on building it 6'tall x7' wide x 4' deep.

does anyone have any ideas of how i should design this to best suit 6-8 plants per tray? and how big of trays i should get?

also i read that al b used rockwool floc in plastic pots. do u keep the plants in the pots of rockwool floc directly in the bottom of the table so that the nutes just soaks up directly through the rockwool floc? or wats best?
any suggestions of how to set them up as to move them easily from the different tables?

also anyone have any good links to make a flood table for 6-8 plants?

and lastly any one have a ppm chart if i plan on going directly into flowering from clones like his op?

told u i needed help, thanks in advance:blsmoke::peace:

Well, I guess I know a lot about them, I hammered together my first hydro trays back in '78. :blsmoke:

Nowadays, I just buy them. They come in all shapes and sizes, American Agritech is a good mfg.

If you're using 1 lamp, add some side-lighting on each end of your room and you'll be good. Your growing space is about 5 feet wide (under the lamp) so your trays for each crop will be about a foot wide. You can slide them out for easy maintenance. The problem will be lighting the different height plants equally.

In a flood tray, the pots of rocks or floc sit in the bed, and are flooded to what ever level you want. Using individual pots makes moving plants during growth easier.

Read the label of the hydro nutrients you are using, and use half of that.

thanks alot that answers alot of questions
the only side lighting i have considered would be putting a 4 ft fluro tube in each corner of the wardrobe

also since its hydro i heard im pretty much guaranteed to need a ppm meter
and im not sure if this is a meter much less a decent one or the solution packets(any help)Milwaukee Instruments: MI M10442B 20ML PACKET 1500PPM SOLUTION CASE OF 25 [722346] - pH, EC & TDS Meters & Test Kits for Water & Soil, Timers, Instruments & Calibration Solutions - HorticultureSource.com

and just to make absolutely sure before i purchase it i can just plant the plants in the buckets filled with just rockwool floc and put em directly in the nutes?

thanks for all the help!!!

You should get a 2x2 with 6in pots

He runs his mothers at 1400-1500 and flowering at 1400 all the way through

Im trying to do his SOG style setup as close as i can, But im using mini rockwool cubes as my medium and a EZ cloner to clone. You can read my journal but im not far though im still veging my mothers but close to cloning.
