I need questions. I am meeting with them in one hour. I am buying 4 600 WATTER. What type of data do you guys need about these. Buy got to run.

They wanted 160$ a chip for he 900's a few months ago. We're selling hlg600 with it.

Good luck, let us know why goes down.

Lower current data was very limited.
Recommended heatsink...last time was the spectrum king version sink.

I priced the 300 and they want $70 each bought singularly.
I would like to know what temp /W is at in their specs, and why all spectrum's are listed as same efficiency

They are couple very nice people I got to talk with today. They gave me a few lumen per watt measurements, but it was on a different chip than I ended up with. The 900's are the Apollo Series, it is the old version, but the Luna Series only goes up to 300/600 watts. I was going to get the 70 cri, but they only had the 80 cri, so I bought 2 4000k and 2 3000k.
This for the 70 cri 5000K
6.65 mA = 132.5 lumen/watt
3.80 mA = 143 lumen/watt
3.30 mA = 152 lumen/watt
I have invited President Danny to join in to help answer questions. I will either run the HLG 600b or 320b, not sure yet. Any suggestions for a 300 watt heatsink for passive cooling:P

I have talked to Danny earlier this week.
I cant afford samples right now, so I am anxious to see what you think of them

I think the stadium light heat sink would be a great heat sink. Instead of the driver mount on the top put a fan facing down where the usually sits and make it a remote driver light, like HPS. I will do a droop test on my 500 stadium light tonight then turn my fan on to see the difference.

4 HLG320h-48b are on there way. I was able to get them for $94 each. now i need a huge heat sink.
Ever consider water cooling? I know there are waterblocks that can handle 300w, for a radiator you could use a generic transmission cooler or heater core. I really want to see someone try this 8-)

Good luck!

Sager was quick. Almost there. Still checking a couple companies for a 400+ watt heat sink, even though they will be dimmed to about 250 watts.
Are you going to run these in different areas?
I was wondering why you didnt get a pair of the hlg-600H-48B and dim those instead

So if you run them at 7A, 320W, about 40% efficient you should get 190W of heat. For each super COB you could use something like: 10.08"X10" with 250mm fan. It has the thickest base, thick tall fins good for active cooling and cheap per surface area. If you extend the heatsink by 4 more inches you could put the driver on board but may be awkward with unbalanced weight

As far as passive cooling goes, it would require a very large heatsink (10"X50") to get 120cm²/heat W. Because all of the heat load would be concentrated in the center, the efficiency of the heatsink will probably drop quite a bit, to the point that active cooling could be a lot more practical and effective.

I am thinking of mounting the drivers outside the room and with separate dimmers. The heat sink and hood/reflector will dictate how much I will cover. I am considering another agrotek rectagular reflector. They are long enough to mount 2 COBs 16" apart. 640 watt hood.
Thanks Supra I might go that way (10x10 with fan). Fry's had this Cooler but I don't know how I would mount the COB?
