Flat white ceiling paint?

Ok so I'm not entirely sure which type of paint is the best but I've heard flat white is good. I was looking around the house and found some flat white ceiling paint, would this be good for a small rubbermaid grow setup? Thanks.

flat is the best, it reflects the most light. things with gloss reflect less light, even though they look shinier to the human eye.

Might not stick too well to a rubber maid. Flat white is great but you'll need something that adheres to plastic. There are a few different products I've seen in home depot and have purchased myself in the past.

mylar is even better than flat white paint, try some "emergency mylar blankets" if you fancy...
not true in a big picture sorta way, Flat white paint reflects heat and if you understand that and know how to use it then you know why it is the best way to go

didn't know reflecting heat was necessary, do tell.
all kinds of good info in my Hey new growers thread or you can read anything by Riddleme which is who I am and to be honest it would take a bit of time to explain and I got a guy coming to get some Thunderfuck beans

If you've primed ( concidering its the right type of primer) it you should be okay to paint it. Take a fine grit sand paper and lightly scuff it first give the paint more binding space.
(imma painter btw)
if I was you though id use high gloss straight white. (not sure how flat would be better as it has no sheene which means little to no reflection, I could be wrong some one please explain why if I am)
but high gloss shines like a mother fucker in my room(fresh build) looking at the walls with the lights on will hurt your eyes

like i said, high gloss LOOKS shinier, but look it up, flat reflects the most, and it lessens the more gloss there is.

do you know what actually that may make sense (meaning I may have messed up my room :( )
because flats will show every imperfection on a wall. Because of the way it reflects the light.( which is why you prime a freshly tapped wall with flat primer. Do tapping touch up and then paint with other product

and gloss on the other hand will show a painters flaws . Inconsistancys. Heavy lines.holidays and all that. And the walls will look alright.
I guess I never thought of it that way. I wonder why that is?

I've done this, you're gonna want a latex paint that will bend with the Rubbermaid. If not, any little flex of the tub will cause paint to crack and fall off.
