On a couple leaves i noticed some tip burn, nute burn, most likely due to upping the bloom and liquid koolbloom last feed, no big deal, but to be on the safe side I flushed all hempys and fed them with plain Ph'd water. Also my little de-humidifier came today, so im excited.

The setup is indeed very clean bro.

They ladies are progressing nicely.

Those tops are setting up fat....with a relatively flat end. My LA Con
made buds like that. They developed into really nice "Pagoda Buds".

They're not available here and p&p would be expensive.
I've just ordered 2 adjustable oven shelves that i can adapt (bend and weld) to make the same sort of thing, they will support the fabric pots and i can then slide the saucer out to empty the run off

I have one of those temp/rh, but mine is wearing out.
It was great meter for a few yrs though, but I am rough on stuff.

Hey man, looks great. I just topped my 2 CKs for the first time about an hour ago. I've got to say, it was a bit unnerving chopping 5-6 inches of growth off the top! Look forward to following along for the rest of your grow.

It's one if the hardest steps, cutting your new seedling down to size, but trust me this strain can handle a lot with the torture, and bending.

Everytime I topped them, I or did anything to alter the plant (Prior to this I would just veg to 8-10 inches then flip, smaller scale sog or I ran auto's) I was very nervous, but by the later weeks of training I realized how resilient this plant can be, I would tie down the main's for bondage and within two hours they would be facing the lights, and I had them almost 90 degrees to the soil line.
Don't be afraid to try new things, I feel i am looking at my best crop yet for this space and light, using this method.

Good luck to whatever you try

Thanks, man! Reading that gives me courage...haha. I *did* break one of the stems a tiny bit last night while trying to tie it down...so I'm not sure I can be as hardcore on that plant as the other one...at least for now while it repairs. But this morning I went down and the new mains have grown like....probably at least a half-inch toward the light already. Wild!

As an aside...just a question, because I've read through all the mainlining threads and can't recall that this was ever covered: why the third node? I lied....yet another question...hah. Are they tied down so that the tops are evenly spaced for airflow, and space? Or is there another reason? If we're not worried about height, does it really matter?

You can top it to any node you really want. From asking around the thread, I learned that you can really top it down to any node you want. The benefit of letting the plant grow out, 5-7 nodes, is that you can choose your strongest looking node, or most even nodes, if working with clones. Cut to the best node, transplant and bury the stem.

Even canopy is what you shoot for so you can get your lights as close as possible to get the most out of your light. Air flow is always important, For outdoor growers in the summer months in humid areas, and for people as myself who are in a small area, indoors, humidity can build up quite quick, like when the lights go out, so anything that helps air flow is a plus, I have soft ties on some of the main's on every plant, and they are anchored to the tomato cage. This will allow better light penetration and fight that humidity giving you better air flow. Just like nugbuckets did, I can move them around the cage, and tuck leaves my leaves, never take off the leaves, tuck. Even if you are not worried about height, getting a even canopy is the name of the game.

I lucked out with the stretch, the tallest is the CK1 at 26 inches from soil, then the CK2 at about 24 inch from soil, The mazar x WR is a bit taller than the CK7, at around 14 inches and smells the best of the bunch, The M x WR is covered in trichs, and smells so lovely, very fruity...The CK's on the other hand as Mr. Vega Pointed out have that the "bad" skunk smell, IT does have this rotten type skunk smell definitely, but the touch of the stem is lemony.

The next 30 days or so will be filled with anxiety of waiting, and it doesn't help that i ran out of my personal stash as of...yeah yesterday. Can't wait till i can at least try one of the lower buds!!

Quick question JD, and anyone else.... These Barneys Farm Critical kush are listed at 100% indica. Ok. But I know they say its critical mass x their og kush, which doesn't the og have sativa bred into it. Also, how can a sativa phenotype be around, such as captainmorgans critical kush, and still be an 100% indica? Is this advertisement at its best, and breeders just saying so? Or is it possible to be 100% indica strain, with sativa alone the lineage? Been bouncing around my mind..

Just take a low-down taster bud or two...it will still be better than
spending dough.

On the genetics question, at this point I am uncertain how someone
could get a breed that they knew was totally 100% one species or
the other....unless one goes to the landrace source...and with Arjan
ejaculating his own pollen all over the wild world, I wonder how long
even that will be possible.

I use leaf shape to tell me which is which, but even this is heuristic.

Can I try a lower bud at this point? Any quick dry method you use to test a bud?

Funny you bring up arjan, with his "expeditions" everywhere, and these videos he has following him strain "hunting". If i felt he was sincere, maybe I'd like him, but I watch him talk and he seems very arrogant, impatient and just mean to a lot of the tour guides. Something about him that rubs me the wrong way...I have yet to try greenhouse seeds, but their new mix packs look attractive, and the prices are competitive. A bunch of bad taste in peoples mouths across the internet on them so I have yet to try...

Yeah Looking at these leaves, they all look sativa/indica, but you can see the sativa in the leaf, and how they are skinny at top yet fat at the bottom but still barely over lap. funny hybrids I love it.

Edit: I don't really like that guy that rolls with arjan everywhere either....LMAO, maybe I'm in a hating mood from no bud today...maybe their vibes are true, and they are wack...culture difference maybe? But I just watched like 3 videos, and wasn't that impressed, but did love the scenery and natives.

They are just too commercial to not rub us earthy types the wrong way. :0)

BTW: You are not at the taster stage yet. Yargh!

I would consider a taster as coming at week 6 or so, or later. It will
miss some flavor, and some swelling, but your babies are still growing.

Can you trade weight with a growing friend? That is what I would do
if you were in Sandy Eggo.

My only grower friends are fellow Rollituppers, so unfortunately I had to make a call to a "friend" and purchase some, alright but quite dry Sour D... 150 for a half ounce, yeah.

He had a little blue dream, it was nice, but I only took a gram taster, Should of went with that...very nice wherever it came from. I really do love the taste of Blue dream when i come across it, I may consider a Blue dream grow soon... I think its tasting that old schools style haze, that excites me, it has that blueberry undertone, but all haze flavor. Sour is not one of my favored strains but it'll do for now.
