Looks good, I'm still amazed at what i see people do with cfl's.

I love LED's im turning into a nerd about em and trying to read up as much as i can, total newb towards em so its much to learn but i keep reading, so possibly after this grow or by next year have an LED flower room double the size, what i have now (at least thats what i tell myself in the morning before work, gotta be excited for something right!) Lol what size/model LED did you get one of those new diamond series they are pushing i been seeing? They look nice

Yes got a DS100...the smallest diamond series they have...theyre expensive for me... $300for the small one but they seem worth it...cfls have done me well but im sick of battling temps w all the bulbs

Mr.Vega, those plants look like very sexy girls, must taste even better, yeah led's are also great for us who have temp issues, the electric savings cost in the long run, and who can forget how beautiful plants look under that "rainbow" light from LED's

I was real worried about smell as you can see, this is in my 3x3 hoping it can contain the smell for the most of it, other than watering times or when i open the tent...

They start their 24 hour dark period sometime tomorrow afternoon....then 12/12... put the tomato cages on to prep for flower and the stretch, thest are 10" diameter, the CK are all about 7 inch from the soil line, the cage is about 10 inches from soil line, the Mazar x WR is a little smaller, but all in all pretty even so far...

Heres the one i believe to have more sativa in her, but thats just my gut...

The shorter but greener mazar x WR : think it will end up having 9 mains :), a little uneven, but thats what FIM does: she had the injury, all seems fine so far, leave drooped for a day now back up, tried to remove tape, was wayyyy to soon, put back on:

They look very ready.

I worry that those ladies might end up needing SS's SWOG (Screen Way Off Ground)
but we will see after the stretch.

I suppose that I am making a guess, and practicing at this stuff, but I expect that those
will top out at a height at least twice as high off the soil as the ring is now.

What is the consensus? I am crap at this, so let us know!

It occurs to me that you could always lift the cage up off the bottom of the bucket.

I would want to bind it at two places though, if I could. Any way to rework it to
run along the outside of the bucket?

LOL, listen to me. ...just the power of negative thinking. Work out all the potential
outcomes, and you can relax. :0)

Good luck,

JD

Haha nahh JD , thats not negative thinking its progressive!

Yeah i just placed them to the bottom of the bucket, well just cause its where it sits now lol, but seeing how the stretch is i can just lift it to the desired height, another 10" max, and just rig something in place, i.e. bend the bottoms of the steel tomato cage into drilled holes on the bucket? Sounds good something like that. Yeah i have depicted a SWOG, and actually did not know their was a term for it, lol but saw it on SS's grow. That can all be done after stretch so i guess we'll see how it goes...

Thank you JD, always experimenting right, we'll see what happens!

Hey JD,

I was reading up on the original pages of the Main lining thread, and came across where nugbuckets talks about the tomato cage cut to spec, and when he enters them into flower:

  • ......when she is about 3-6 inches above the ring, or about 16 inches from the soil line, she enters flower......

Now I don't know if this is his method for outdoor, or that Ace of spades he was running, by using his ratio and scaling it down to my specs, I'm still under the cage either way before flower, So i assume and see how nugbuckets tried to just tie the bottom of each main after stretch...

  • ...after two weeks of flower, and 50-75% of the stretch is complete, the understory can be pruned (or not), and her giant, "re-bar-like" stems can be soft-tied to the ring....

So the main's can be maneuvered for proper cola spacing etc... I woke up last night thinking I should take the tomato cages out prior to 12/12 and put them back when the stretch is done. I actually went as far as to removing 2, then saying you know what lemme see what nugbuckets did lol...

They can always be raised and a screen can always be fabricated quick, so I just put them back, and left em in, dark starts today 12/12 tomorrow

That all sounds reasonable FJG.

He has his ring about a foot above the soil.

At this point I am planning on just giving a stake to each
cola that cannot take its weight. ...I need to get working
with screens one of these crops.

Good luck,

JD

FJG, I just put my rings on yesterday, I am still having trouble with the cabinet door but hope to have that worked out today.
BTW, I watched Pineapple Express last night, fun and funny movie. Thanks!

Thanks for looking and following guys/gals, I also developed a slight gnat problem, they are on the top of the soil and at the base of the plants, I put out Apple cider vinegar as per the old wives tale and testimonial youtube videos, but I don't think I even caught one, I ordered sticky yellow tape, and Gnatrol WDG, so hopefully that will contain and kill most of them. As per the HPS/MH debate i just started my 12/12 with the HPS, as you can see in the yellow pics lol

Your friend,

FJG
