Sup FJG!
Really cool grow you got here!
Subbed down for the ride!
Had not heard about mainlining before, looks like a interesting way to grow. Do you know if this is similar or just another name for low stress method or something ?

Yeah i believe he does say trim everything but the tops, then let it go into flower, complete stretch, then trim again, and thats it, but i know other growers do different things.

Nugbuckets is the name and the living legend around here who perfected the method last year i believe : https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/542308-main-lining-thread.html

Read this as your bible for a couple weeks and you'll understand so much more. :)

Nice to meet you and thanks for joining

Indeed, there are a lot of people who adapt things to the way that is more for them. I think the Nugs technique is simplest and allows ALL the energy to reach the tops without stopping off and helping some undergrowth that won't amount to anything so I plan to trim trim trim. lol

Hey Peoples, If you go to the first 2 pages of The Mainlining Thread you will see what mainlining is and more understand what the Nugbuckets technique is. I believe it is the right way go for me. :)

So I checked on the girls today and a big smile on my face appeared. The Maz x White Rhino the one i experimented with fimming two shoots, has worked out pretty well. One deft has 3 shoots, the other may be just 2 but i cannot make out if a third is building in the middle on top, as the middle one in the first is higher...? So right now i got a deft. 9 Liner, (perfect for that menorah i mentioned earlier lol) Or best case its, a 10 Liner and I'm fine with that also!

The first is the one you can see the 3 Clearly. The second is what im debating is 3 or just 2....

MxWR3.jpg MxWR-Maybe3.jpg...can you see it? that little one poppin in the middle? or just leaf shrapnel?

you need to turn the babies on the 14th Oct bud for a xmas grow. im trying this method with 8 x Barnyes farm against 8 x Dinafems CK and the dinafem is certainly quicker. this is them 3 weeks vedg 5 weeks from seed. going 12/12 Monday the first pic is of the barneys the other 2 are dinafems

I had slight branch break on the mazar so i tapped her up and hope it will be fine

Does anyone know if I now need extra time in veg to let it repair itself, or entering flower is perfectly fine?

it happend to me 2 bud right at the manifold. put gaffer tape round it took a couple of days to recover going fine now should be ok to turn as it has a couple of weeks before any flowers develope just keep an eye on it that it doesnt get too tight or cut a straw and put that round it

Hey everybody, I let the ties off them, let them go vertical a bit, also trimmed them a bit more, i will be flipping to 12/12 on sunday after 24 hours of darkness, I just wanted to hear your guys opinions on when to switch the MH to HPS, I figure leave the MH bulb in for the flip and the transition week, and then put the HPS in. How do you guys feel about that? Or should i just put the HPS right in from 12/12, any difference?

That is an interesting question FJG...there seems to be two sides
to this one. I had thought that the MH might reduce stretch, but
someone else (someone good) suggested that going right to the HPS
would de a better job of this. (i.e. Stop Vegging!)

Good luck,

JD

I was thinking that, since the MH stimulates more branch growth, i should go straight to the HPS to keep stretch to a minimum. Also initiate Flower faster i.e. the stop vegging lol. Thanks JD

I am hoping that one of the graybeards will chime in....

It is funny, but people who will not stop to tell you what you
need to know will jump at the chance to point out where you
are wrong.

I laid it out there....let's give it a few hours for a nibble. :0)

LMAO...this is hardly "knowing", but it will do in a pinch. LMAO!
