Here's what i have listed so far.

________________________________
6 x Five gallon buckets
6 x Nettings
6 x Airstones
6 x Rockwool
3 x Bag of rocks
1 x Air pump with 6 feeds
--------------------------------

________________________________
1 x Nute tester
1 x pH tester
--------------------------------

________________________________
1 x SUN HUT XXL (4x8x7) (LxWxD)
1 x 4' four lamp t5 floury Fixture
4 x t5 florys
1 x 400w ballast
1 x 400w HPS
1 x Air cooled reflector
1 x Foxfarms nute trio
2 x inline fan
2 x carbon filter
--------------------------------

So my questions are as followed:

-The sun hut tent has a divider in the middle, i plan on having one side flowering the other veg. How many plants can i fit in each side?
-Will a 4 foot 4 lamp T5 fixture be good enough for the amount of plants ill be able to fit?
-Is there anything else i'll need?
-I plan on picking everything up from a local hydroponics store, they give 10% off orders over 1000$. In addition a ballast+lamp+reflector when bought together they give 15% off. The prices are looking high though, ive got a catalog in front of me. The catalog is from Sunlight Supply, inc..The prices online are a lot cheaper, so would it be better to order online or pick up at hydro store?
-Would it be better to get a 400w MH instead of the T5's? Price wise they are about the same.

My general goal here is to have 6 plants vegging, 6 flowering at all times. If it'd be cheaper to have two smaller tents instead, i'd take that method..but then id have to get more fans/filters. I'm extremely nervous about this purchase and want to make sure im doing the right thing. If you guys see anything im missing or small changes i could make to save money, please let me know.

Good start here.

Yes a 4' 4 bulb t5 lamp will work for veg. More is better but depending upon your style of growing lower wattage can be better, if you plan on taking clones right before putting into flower for the next grow, then the t5 is better so the veg plants don't get to large in a couple of months. I use a 4 bulb t8 fixture in a 19x49 box.

I see by getting 5 gal buckets you're looking to get large plants and why not with 8' of headroom. I've been running a 4'x4' space for a few yrs now and have tried to fit 9, 6, 5 good sized plants several times in this space and have come to the conclusion that 4 is the max period. You will get better yield with 4 than with 6 in this space.

I'm assuming that the tent will be in a conditioned space so heating & cooling inside the tent isn't a big issue. If you can pull air from one side to the other then you could get away with a single fan and filter (if 6" size is available) (if restricted to 4" use one in each side)

My last interjection with a 400W system I'd recommend using a CMH bulb ( http://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmed18.htm ) instead of a hps, lower heat better spectrum, open hood, & white light. I use a large convertible open (no glass no vent) hood with 2 400W CMH bulbs.

Hope this helps a little happy growing.

Just make sure you vent your air and you will be fine. You're going to get big plants if you veg for 2 months, and maybe you should look into fabricating a fence top for your canopy to do a scrog. Scrog with 4 plants can be much more efficient then 4 plants by themselves with only a 400watt hps to penetrate. I've grown with 400w hps in the past, and unless it is close, the lower leaves don't get much light anyway. Going from the T5 to 400w hps your plants should triple or quadruple in size from what they were just leaving vegetative state. You could make a few tweaks and have a very nice perpetual system with a great 400w hps sized yield. Another tip is I save a ton of money buying used equipment. I have only spent say $1000-1200 on equipment and have around $5000 worth if I had bought all new.

First off sorry i havent been around, thanks so much guys for the help.

I guess i will be doing 4 plants then, and i was intending on SCROG as well, i already have my SCROG screen. While i was looking into that CMH bulb, I found a bunch of different kinds of bulbs that are simular and now im having a hard time choosing lol. The catalog i have has blue inhanced HPS bulbs as well as red inhanced MH bulbs xD then theres also MH bulbs fit to be put in a HPS ballast and vise versa. I'm really indecisive, I want to make the best possible choice for the amount of money ill be spending but its so hard to choose.

Another thing i missed was the .. im not sure what its called but the silver tin-foil tubing that gos from the inline fan to the HPS reflector.

So right now im wondering what kind of ballast i will need? If i get CMH i can choose either HPS or MH, and the same thing with half these other bulbs. So i'd assume whatever ballast is cheaper (mh vx hps) is the one ill get.

This is rather stressful xD i've picked up mad overtime at work to be able to pay my bills and make this purchase at the same time.
