Fix A Stem "Clot" ?

Answer:

So... this was about 3 weeks ago, she was maybe 10" tall and doing very well. Then, for whatever reason, the stem bent over and folded on itself. The result was a stem that could not support itself, so a stake was put in and she was loosely tied to the stake.

Now she's about 14" tall and has a normal stem to that point. At the site of the fold the stem becomes incredibly narrow and has no strength at all. There's still VERY SLOW growth at the top but, although green, the leaves are very droopy.

Plant has been 12/12 for about three days and bottom growth is very rapid.

Question:

What the fuck?

So, should I leave it?
Should I cut off everything above the weak spot? That's about 4.5"
Or, can I slice it at the weak stem point and re-root the top section - and how would I go about doing that?

Etc:

If i really need to show you a picture of a weak stem, i can do that, but i figure there's enuf info to imagine it yourself.

Id cut it off at the weak point. that way the plant puts its energy into the healthy growth. Think of it as if you just pruned the plant.
