First Wax Run - Is it done?

Hey everyone, This is my first try with wax. I've been interested in making it for years but stayed away thinking it was too complex and I like to follow the KISS method when it comes to about everything but I just got tired of paying high prices for the stuff so I thought I'd invest in what I need and take some time to learn and get it right. I picked up a Vacuum Oven from Craigslist (got really lucky) and a 3CFM vacuum pump along with an extraction tube and a few other gadgets (I will post my toys soon) Anyway, I made this. It looks pretty good, smells great and I think it is done/close to but I'm not sure because it's not a lighter tan color throughout. Does it need to be? or could it just be the strains I used to make it keeping it dark? Please let me know your thoughts on this as I plan to make many many more runs in the future and also want to try making shatter in the near future. Thanks for your help and input938_0290.jpg

Looks done. If you grind up your material too small it can "green" or darken the wax. Indicas usually make a darker wac. You freezing the tube of weed before extracting?

I did not freeze. I've been wondering about this, should I freeze my trim immediately or dry it then freeze it? What do you recommend when it comes to prepping the trim?

And yes, I did blend the trim up pretty fine. Next run I won't "grind it down" so much. The trim was a mix of several strains: chem dawg, jillybean, berry bomb and a few other hybrids that are more indica.

thanks for the quick response and help
