Everything is swell with the first grow this far Iam on my second week and 6 out of 10 plants are strong and healthy and 4 are kinda struggling one looks like it possibly could be fried because the first leaves to ever grow on it are hard and brown, 2 never sprouted and another has 2 leaves that are there but minimal growth and the leaves are very close to the soil almost hugging it, any beginning tip would be highly appreciated just kinda keeping a close eye learning from trial and error

Have they been fed at all?

Why did you start in such a large container?
Are you familiar with how to grow in coco?...........don't treat it like soil.
Are you feeding them?

Coco basics:
Coco is inert and provides no nutrition to a plant.........you have to feed it regularly.
Feed daily to substantial run off with a weak nutrient solution using a pH around 6.0.
Never give plain water.
Never let the coco get dry.

Considering you started in such a large container, maintaining the correct moisture level will be a challenge.
You should start out by just feeding around the perimeter of the plant daily until the roots become better established........not to run off at this point.

That brand is one of my favorites........it's already buffered and you can use it right out of the bag.
I like to use a 1/3 perlite and 2/3 coco mix.
Been growing in coco for many years.

Good they won't need nutrients until they get a set of real multibladed leaves. Do make sure that you add calmag though if using purified water like RO or distilled.
Hey man, I have never used CO2 myself but have heard the CO2 bags the OP speaks of are garbage. What's your opinion of them?

I've never used them yet I just bought em with my supplies
They produce CO2, thats true, but the rate of production is slow. Even if you have a quick form of CO2 delivery it won't help unless you can keep it in the tent with the plants. Running an exhaust of course just blows the CO2 out of the tent therefore it's pointless. CO2 enrichment is for sealed grows with AC and dehumidification. Also to actually use the CO2 the lighting needs to be intense, temperatures warmer and everything dialed in. For a first grow I would just stick with ambient CO2 and get good at growing before spending the money to add more gear and make things more complex. Great weed can be grown without CO2 enrichment. Happy growing and best luck with your endeavor.

Hey man. Yes start using your calmag right away. Ambient Co2 is what is present all around you and your plants. When he said go with your ambient Co2 he just meant don't add any. It's already all around you. Plants give it off and you exhale it.
