First Timer Planning On Changa, which herbal mix?

I plan on using a STB extraction using the Whatchamacallit tek (thank you Floridasucks). Will wash and freeze precip.

After doing some reading, I plan on imbibing via changa with a bong or water pipe. Rather than using a solvent, I will likely use heat to melt the DMT into the material.

Pretty sure I will go with caapi, but I'm a bit concerned about harshness to the lungs-- want to be able to hold the smoke adequately.

I have two questions for the folks here:

- Will I be ok going with a 50/50 blend of DMT/caapi, or would you recommend I add another herb to smooth it out (lotus or passion flower, perhaps)?

- Assuming that I get a fairly pure product after the wash (clean and pale yellow), would people here recommend I re-crystalize? I have read in several places that it is not necessary-- but is it recommended or is it not worth the effort?

BTW, I have been lurking for a while, and those of you who post here should know that your conversations are inspirational. I know there has been some frustration with the changes around here lately, but I hope this part of the forum stays alive and kickin'.

I have been considering doing this for 25 years, and just now feel that I am in the right place to take the plunge. I have a fair amount of experience with shrooms and acid, but know that this is something entirely different.

Yea, go with caapi leaves. Also, mix some mullien in there for the third herb, this is the lung herb and will help make the smoke less harsh. Might be easier to put it all into a joint.

The joint would certainly make the process simpler. Would you recommend a mix of, say 100mg DMT: 50mg caapi: 50mg mullien?

Thanks for the insights.

Ok now i had a crazy idea! There is like 500mg of AMT in my RC's box, so can i spray AMT over caapi instead of DMT?

Just put in my order for the caapi and mullien. I may extract in a week or two, but wont be taking the ride until August-- got way too much on my plate right now to focus the way I want to.

No, no. I don't have the leaves yet. If the leaves aren't harsh I would actually rather go with just the caapi alone-- I prefer simplicity. I was just concerned that they would be harsh-- read it somewhere but have no idea myself. Thanks ANC

Sometimes I just place some caapi leaves in the bottom of the pipe as a bed or screen, then put the spice on top and just light a small cherry, then puff till I am no more.

I considered that, and may try it-- but something about infusing the leaf just feels right to me. That, and I'm more likely to get even dosages with each hit.

Thanks for your help. I will report the results of my extraction in a couple weeks.... (just got the MHRB!)

I have my own thoughts about the infusing process, which is why I prefer just useing it as a sandwitch material.
This keeps the spice fresh and I can vary dosage by just adding more or less spice. The downside is, that it is not changa, so it still blasts you off very hard like straight spice, rather than the smoother warm enfolding common with changa.
