Okay, so now since I first had to trim 30% or so of the dead bud/foliage off, I have since trimmed about another 20% or so equaling 50% of the plant. The plant begin to grow new roots and the buds and foliage even looked like it began to grow but not much.....so then I come up with the bright idea to prune the dead/rotted roots and it left very little root mass....resulting in what I believe to be the end of the plant....im not even trying to save the flowers from it.

What I have learned is:

I NEED A WATER CHILLER
I MUST MONITOR PH AT LEAST TWICE A DAY
PYTHIUM IS NO JOKE

On the brighter side....here is a nice pic of some og kush I grew in soil....if you can zoom in on the stuff.....frosty!

Peace out

That's a real shame Rob, they were looking good to start with.

Prevention is better than cure as they say, a chiller would be good. I use h2o2 as a preventative measure when I change out the reservoir, about 1-2 ml at 32% for 40 litres of water. I empty out old nutes and refill with fresh water and h2o2 and let the system run for a few hours before adding any nutes, I feel this helps to keep the root rot at bay.

I also use water straight from the tap so maybe the fresh chlorinated water helps too?

Hope next time goes better for you.
